I came into today to donate and I at first had a really negative experience with one of the employees, I had went home feeling frustrated and defeated so I had given a call to one of the managers here and explained my situation and a higher up called me later in the day her name is Kayla she had got everything all squared away for me as it was the employee who made a mistake, she gave me a extra $10 on my first donation and they pretty much expedited me through the whole donation process since I was there earlier and had to make a second trip back, I’m very pleased with how Kayla handled my situation and how she made things right and then on top of that gave me a bonus for my inconvenience from earlier! Handled very professionally, I am pleased and was happy to be able to donate! Thank you Kayla!

Have been coming in for a few months now and will definitely continue. I typically go in the PM and usually have the same group of employees. They are extremely polite and smile often. Some days take longer but you can see that they are always working to get everyone in and out quickly. Bring something to read or a hockey game to watch and it all goes by quickly

Terrible service. The first employee i met with could not answer all of my questions because “she was new”. She then had to leave to take care of more complex things that she was the most experienced employee to take care of (with zero explanation). Then 2 other people came in that I had never seen before. No introduction. Just some random person who was obviously new with a mentor. Normally I am cool with that. But you need to explain what is happening!!!

Usually when i come here it is SUPER busy with little staff. I understand that there is a national staffing issue so i’m not upset. But today when i came in, the line was long like usual but there were more staff there than i’ve ever seen. There was one person taking vitals while the rest of the staff were standing around talking and laughing. This frustrated me so much I had to leave before I got my vitals taken. I don’t understand how you can see a line out the door but have the decency to stand around and talk. Managers, please teach your staff to do better.

Have gone about 4 times, new donor. Only able to donate any plasma on my latest visit due to system and machine errors, and unnoticed bruises. First visit I was stung twice before they found issue in the machine. Highly recommend bring blanket and whatever you need to keep warm, as the room is freezing cold. You will have to remove jackets to donate and good luck putting them on again with a needle on your arm and the donation tube thing. Bring gloves and blanket(s). Also stress ball helps when you have to help pump blood with motion. You can relax your hand for about half the donation process, but it’s not hard. A lot easier with a stress ball or something as mentioned. Earbuds and battery pack may help, they do to me. Signal sucks for data but their wifi was great for Netflix so it was fine on that note. Some busy times, more empty early morning and maybe evening. Initial compensation for new donors I think went from 100 for first 8 visits to 5 recently so that sucks if I was told correctly. Basically 800 to 500. Fact check that, there’s room for mistake so I’m sorry if I got that wrong. Otherwise in EC CSL you can get 50 or 60ish depending on weight, call for specific numbers.

I think CSL is a very nice place. I’ve always been very respected by the staff. Although, I wish they would put a bench or chairs in the place we have to stand. You could be standing there for more than an hour sometimes. I bench or some sort of seating would be nice.

I get it, we as the donors, choose to come here. This place only benefits the donors, of course.
