I got permanently deferred and told all my donations are getting destroyed due to a tattoo that the Elyria location never documented. It was well over a year ago. I used to love coming to this place. what changed? I guess I’ll have to find some place better.

I’m healthy, just not a marathon runner. I see my pcp regularly. I’ve donated 2 times in the past. Today my blood pressure was 126ish/80ish with a heart rate of 90ish bpm. I was deferred. There are other donation centers that are more consistent and that don’t require you to be in perfect shape. I’ll give it one more try but if I’m deferred again I’m going elsewhere.

Worst experience I’ve ever had for trying to do something good, the intake girls leave a lot to be desired but the fake nurse is the worst, her last words to me were “At least we only wasted an hour of your time and not 3” Oh and the nice woman had to remind me that my multiple sclerosis was never going to get better even though I’m currently living quite well with no assistance from any doctor or poison medicine, plus they took all my info including biometrics and my ssn, and then just refused me, so They’re probably selling our information. Hope all that is worth a hundred dollars lol.

Became homeless in Indiana and had to come stay with my mom to get back on my feet. Can’t get back on my feet when I can’t donate at my local center due to ridiculous rules and hoops to jump through. I’ll stand outside with a sign asking people for money since I can’t do things the right way. Will not ever be returning to a csl plasma again! Thanks for nothing!

Decided to start donating plasma back in January of 2023. But because of my bad experience I had at CSL Parma, I held off in fear of a repeat. In May 2023, I finally made that step. And this was after a 5 year hiatus/ going incognito. Knowing how much of a nervous wreck I was, staff at CSL Medina on the first visit were not only reassuring but honest as well. Going by what CSL Medina recommends for those who donate is definitely helpful and seems to work. CSL Parma, I have felt they give you the bare minimum of what to do and expect. Staff at CSL Medina were/ have been friendly each time I have come in. CSL Parma… they like to ignore. CSL Medina staff seem like they are in the know and are on top of things. CSL Parma… not as much. CSL Medina is in a prime location/ in a location that is comfortable to go to, get to drive wise and they keep their location very well maintained. CSL Parma on the other hand… if you want a rush job, questionable staff and location, and a filthy location knock yourself out. CSL Medina for me has been a pleasurable experience. I am glad CSL Medina was able to take me.

The staff is nice and attentive. I do not have a problem donating with them. I recently donated, and I had an issue with the blood being returned to my right arm. So they switched to my left, and I was able to donate. My right arm had a massive bruise and when I went back, thinking I could use my left, they told me I could not donate due to the severity and nature of my bruise (I understand). I was told to give a call on Friday to talk to their doctor. I can not donate until the doctor signs off that I can. I tried calling 5 times on Friday and there was no answer. It rings once and stops. I waited on the line for 5+ minuets and no answer. I can not get in touch with anyone. My work schedule does not allow me to just stop by and hope the doctor is there. So now I can’t donate because I can’t get in touch with anyone. This is upsetting for me and ridiculous. The 2 stars are due to the hassel and inconvenience of trying to go back and donate.

Brooke and Haleigh really got their stuff together. Had a little trouble with the machine toward the end of the process, probably my fault, when they jumped in and resolved the issue instead of just disconnecting. They should seriously be considered for a nice bonus or a decent raise.

I would not recommend going to this location! This morning I experienced one of the worse retail experiences ever. Being a first time doner in one of Ohio’s Plasma Centers (Medina.) I was greeted by a girl (Shanese) who apparently did not want to be bothered…approaching me with such an attitude. Then past off to a girl (Hannah) to take a minute to check my veins (while discussing breaks with another staff member) to quickly shoved away, suggesting that I go drink some water and come back another day.

I’ve been a plasma donor since 2009. I started out at the CSL in Akron when they were still by Akron University, I have visited other donor centers such as Telacris on Brittian Road, and Octopharma on Hawkins ave, as well as a CSL center located in Hagarstown Maryland. I have learned over the years, that some other places might have a slightly higher payscale than CSL, but usually CSL makes up for that with cleanliness, professionalism, and friendliness, and it’s a very slight difference anyway. This facility is no different from the other CSL facilities in those points, but this facility is head and shoulders above all the others I have visited. The staff here not only embodies the clean, professional, and friendly characteristics wanted by CSL Plasma centers, they take it to a whole new level. You feel like you are being taken care of here by a friend. Every one of them are just unbelievably friendly and professional. They will answer your questions, make sure you are okay, and take time to talk with you, not to mention I have NEVER been at another plasma center where there were so many staff so highly skilled with the ‘stick’. Somehow the staff here ALL have the ability to get your donation started and you don’t even feel it? They are all wonderfully skilled and are super attentive to how you’re doing during the stick. Not to mention many of them are skilled with difficult veins. Everyone I have met from Nurses to screeners and even some administrators, are the most friendly, efficient, professional staff I have ever seen at any donation center. Several at this center I have come to think of as true friends. Keep up the awesome work everyone!
