I could not have had a more DISAPPOINTING experience at this office. They open at 7:00. At 7:05,7:15, and 7:25 I tried to call to speak with someone to see if I could come in to donate for the first time. The automated voice said “to speak with a friendly member of our staff, please press 0.” Each call, I pressed 0 but it redirected me to the main menu (meaning their phones were OFF, while they were open). I decided To just drive over – even though there was a snow storm out, and my car isn’t that great in the snow (I raise my five year old son alone and had a babysitter only for a few hours). Once I arrived, I stood at this empty desk (pictured) for TWENTY FIVE MINUTES before someone noticed me. A man who appeared to be 23 years old (sandy hair and glasses with a lab coat) and told me “sorry, we don’t have the staff to take any first time donors. You’ll have to come back on another day.” Infuriated, I told him “I did try calling 3 times before coming over but your phones are off. This would’ve been nice to know before I drove Over here in a storm.” His response was “sorry, we’re just not very good at answering the phones.” NOT VERY GOOD AT ANSWERING THE PHONES? No! They were OFF!!! It never even rang! Being a single mother who only has a sitter Friday nights and about one Saturday morning a year, im pretty infuriated with this. Doesn’t look like I’ll be able to donate after all. Shame on the staff at this location for blatantly turning off their phones so donating customers can’t be helped, and then turning them away when they show up!!!!!!!!!!!

I would not go here again. Red Cross wants my plasma and I gave at the Red Cross last month. After talking to CSL by phone, driving 45 min, giving over my SS# and other personal verification of my identity, all of a sudden I am too old because of age. I just happen to ask about a flyer in the office that said the age limit was 65. Any age limit is not mentioned on their website. I am obviously well over 65. They would not even reimburse me for my gas.

Pathetic example of how a business shouldn’t function, even more pathetic example of professional, caring , interactions. Director of donations said she didn’t have time for registering new donors and got really aggressive with a woman watching a video, wait time was estimated to be 3-4 hours for 1st time donation; no people at the “vitals checkpoint” 12 people waiting in line when I arrived. They must be doing something very shady with the plasma to still be in business. This place is awful.

I usually make my donations in Rhode Island in Warwick I was up in this location on vacation it was a little bit of aggravation trying to transfer my files to this location took a little bit longer than expected. Overall very satisfied with the staff very professional. And we did not have to wear a face mask unlike the Warwick Rhode Island location.

This place has its good and bad experiences, today was a bad one. You are payed for each donation and if you donate twice a week and four weeks a month you get bonuses. Down side is if anything disrupts that count, you lose the bonuses. Sometimes it’s on you by have too low protein levels. You’re given a week off to raise them. Today it was on them that I lost money, in that the random sample of plasma they took from me had not been processed yet, and I’m locked out until it happens in the lab far away. Now I lose at least a day and possibly bonuses that I would have gotten because of something I have no control over. The staff is good, but the policy isn’t. This might conclude my donations.
