Every time I go in here it is extremely Cold, when it’s this cold, it makes your blood stop pumping as fast, and makes your hand with the cuff on it go numb and cold, when I get the needle in, they almost always place it in correctly and make it so it flattens my vein and makes it impossible for my blood to flow. The last time I went, I clotted really badly and it sent me to the hospital the day after it happened. Every time I go in, I’m always left with bruises on my arm, where as 6 months ago I never had that problem, they are all mostly trained well, but I always get that one person who sticks me incorrectly and hurts me, they aren’t gentle when doing the needle and always hit the nerve in my vein or cause my vein to pop. If I get differed for the staff I’m going to be pretty upset. They always put in notes it’s my fault a needle isn’t correct or me clotting when they let my blood sit for too long which does cause it to clot. I know how this stuff works as I use to work in a hospital. The staff are mostly nice. There always a few unkind staff members. But the fact I’ve had way too many problems when coming here is beginning to be a bigger problem. They also start you our at 100 for the 1st 6 or so times you donate and then go to 95, to 70 to 52, and then you have to do a lot to get you into a level where you can rack up points in their system which doesn’t always track the days you donate which is confusing, so you never get out of the 50’s unless you are donating for about 2 or 3 years. It’s bogus, if they get 2,200 on ONE bottle of plasma, then why don’t we get at the very least 200 for donating instead of 50 dollars at most once your out of the 100 zone? They are making more profit off us then we are each time we donate.

my third time donating here after i used to donate at another plasma center that i won’t name. it really says something when your heart doesnt race at the thought of going to donate. here i feel seen, heard, and taken care of. every time i have come here i have been stuck by someone different (shacari, tracy, chaela) and each time it’s just a tiny pinch. the utilities stay clean and they have snacks readily available. also the big windows provide a lovely view while you donate.

First time coming in most of the staff were great would have been more helpful if someone was at the front guiding you on what to do. One staff member (female) came up to us at kiosk basically yelling at us saying only one person can be atvthe kiosk and you can’t help one another, which is completely understandable, but she could have been more professional and explained it to us with a better tone then just walking up to us yelling. Other then that wonderful experience.
