Community Blood Center of the Ozarks

In 1995, area civic and medical leaders formed Community Blood Center of the Ozarks with one simple mission:

“To provide a quality blood supply, in a timely manner, at the lowest reasonable fee, while remaining accountable to the local community, blood donors and health care providers.”

Since our beginnings more than two decades ago and thanks to the efforts of our many volunteers, we have become the sole provider of blood products for 41 hospitals located in three states. When there is an excess of blood locally, CBCO supports other parts of the country that may be short on supplies. CBCO also supplies blood to the United States military, as part of a national effort to sustain our troops.

Nice, clean, and spacious blood donation center. You can make appts and do paperwork ahead of time online. They usually have some sort of free gift when you donate. All the staff was nice and thorough especially the lady who checked me in. Overall , I was there for about 45 min including wait, checkin, and donation.

The Springdale clinic always does a fantastic job with my blood donations. I have a donor card and always do the quickpass so I am usually in and out in under 30 minutes. I have always been told I have good veins, but the only time I’ve ever been to the Bentonville location they struggled to stick me, and ended up blowing both of my veins. No hate to them, though. The staff at this location is very sweet, the process is quick, and the facility is clean. If you’re considering donating, you should! They are fully prepared for any negative side effects (if you have any. I usually don’t). 30 minutes of your time could save someone’s life!

I am O negative and feel it’s especially important to donate blood. but CBCO doesn’t have any reasonable days/hours for someone who works M-F 7-5. If there is such a blood shortage, I would think there would be a greater effort in providing more donation opportunities. Perhaps a few Saturday’s a month to schedule appointments, or even a few Friday with later hours. A regular Fayetteville location would be great too. This Monday is Labor Day, but I haven’t seen any drives set up for those of us who would normally be working and have the day off.

When I called, CBCO told me they don’t want “Walk In’s” and I need to make an appointment. When I arrived I had to wait for “Walk In’s” to finish. Which is it? On the positive side facility was very clean, unlike ARC’s RV.

Great clinic with courteous and professional staff. I choose to give to CBCO to keep blood supplies in the community to help our neighbors. They are not for profit but they will reward you with life points that you can redeem for different things (gift cards, t shirts, or even donate back for other charitable programs). As with any clinic they care about you and want to make sure that you’re good before you leave. They supply an assortment of snacks as well as juice and water for after the donation. Whether you’re new to donating or you’re a veteran donor this is a good clinic to go to.

Clean facility, very friendly and professional. Wish there was a way to donate here without giving your phone number, as they will ‘blow up’ your phone day and night. Sadly, had to block them and quit donating here and give elsewhere.

I’m terrified of needles, but the staff here were very friendly and understanding! The whole process took less than an hour, very good service indeed. My blood may be gone, but they gave me a t-shirt!

Friendly staff usually fairly quick. Appointments dont mean much as it is first come first serve so sometimes a wait is involved. I wish appointment times were kept and walk-ins were fit in around folks that plan ahead.
