Community Blood Center (CBC), established over 40 years ago, serves hospitals in the Greater Kansas City metropolitan area, as well as eastern Kansas and western Missouri. CBC provides blood products to 70 area hospitals – and relies on volunteer donors each day to meet the need for life-saving gifts of blood. CBC provides high quality reference immunohematology laboratory services, including platelet and red blood cell antibody testing, and therapeutic apheresis to local hospitals.

Been coming here for a while. CBC Blue Springs has excellent staff and a clean facility. Today, I was helped by Kinsey, who provided a perfect stick for my whole blood donation (No pain, great blood flow). Her vein scrub (deep tissue vein massage, I like to call it) was spot on. But most importantly, Kinsey had an excellent attitude and was a pleasure to donate with. Donating can be intimidating, but staff like Kinsey at the Community Blood Center in Blue Springs is what makes me want to return to continue donating. Cheers!

I have been donating blood since 1979 and this was one of the best experiences I have ever had. Everyone here was very nice and professional. Loni who was my “caretaker” took great care of me from checkin to see you next time. She deserves as pay raise & promotion. GREAT JOB!!! JOBeveryone!

Very good people and for a good cause! When I first walked in everything was clean and in order. I waited for a short time before getting checked in. The process was quick and easy and all those I interacted with were helpful and friendly. I quickly was seated and the staff started the draw very good overall experience. Aftercare was top notch and I felt no I’ll effects or symptoms.

Great people! I have donated whole blood and platelets here. I occasionally have adverse reactions when donating, but continue to donate since I have O- blood. At the Blue Springs location they check up on me often to make sure that I’m doing okay and are always quick to help me if I feel like I’m about to pass out or get sick. Neither has happened here thanks to the wonderful staff!

I’ve donated here for multiple years and every time is a great experience.The staff are always very professional and make it easy to donate. They really do care about the experience and welfare of people who donate here. The facilities are well maintained as well. Greeting was awful in a walk in. Kid didnt know how to say hello. Had extra nonsense that made no sense. I guess they just make stuff up instead of try to get you checked in for a blood donation. His reference was a weird situation. I walked out.
