I donated palettes for the first time. I’ve donated whole blood, and that process is faster. Palettes take longer than whole blood. Please make sure you have 3 hours to commit to this life-saving task. Make sure you bring your driver’s license or ID it is necessary. Until next time.

I’m really surprised that they didn’t add scheduling appointments online during the pandemic. Makes me think management isn’t that interested in letting anyone schedule at the time of their choice from anywhere, making the commitment that much easier.

Please, if you can give, donate here. Blood products save children’s lives and it stays at this hospital so the savings are passed along to the patient’s family. CHCO is striving to become cost free so donating here, no matter if it’s blood products or some other donation, will help them come closer to that goal.

I was not able to find the entrance as my GPS lead me to the staff entrance. The woman I spoke with on the phone did not adequately help me and there was no visible signage for the blood donation center as I walked around the building. Also, I had to pay for parking to donate blood and was not given a code over the phone.
