All 3 of my dogs donate. My chocolate lab is very male selective and he LOVES Chris. All 3 would stay with Dr.latchford all day if I let them. When my rottie mix sees them he jumps like a bunny. They are so welcoming to all different dog breeds, they don’t put a filter on their breeds. They are also treat the dogs like their own. It’s a special feeling you get that your dog can save another dogs life.

If there were more stars, I would gladly give them. Dr. Latchford and Chris are OUTSTANDING! Actually, everyone that I have worked with at Blue Ridge Blood Bank is amazing! They are extremely easy to work with. They are very gentle and caring with Piper, my donor. They are very efficient as well. I look forward to working with them in the future. With their help, Piper has already saved 64 lives.

Aspen loves seeing Chris and Dr Latchford and getting all of the goodies while she’s helping other pups in need! They are so kind and patient with her!

Absolutely a very professional clinic. Our Lab tends to show some separation anxiety, but on her first visit she was very comfortable with the staff and left me willingly. I feel confident that on our next visit she’ll be jumping out the car to get to all that attention she received on her first visit.

BRVBB allows me (and my dogs- but honestly they are just in it for the snuggles and treats) to give back to the dog world. Our dogs mean so much to us, and to be able to help save those in need is so meaningful.

We had a bit of a hiccup with blood donaitons during the pandemic. Normaly all 3 of our pups donate every 5-6 weeks. That was put on hold until arrangements could be set up with the individual clinics to ensure every one was protected. We were finally told the schedule would resume but only for those pups who are okay without parental units in tow. So our Idgie was able to resume her donation schedule. After a few weeks LuLu was also able to resume her’s. We are hoping that Champ, who is a bit of a wildman, will be able to do so soon, too. Dr Val and Chris are excellent caregivers and our dogs are uber excited to see them every visit…Champ is a little too excited and a bit much for just the two of them to handle. Given the pandemic circumstances, this continues to be a great experience and an opportunity to give to those in need. We have been canine donors for over 8 years now. If your interested in your pup being a blood donor, I highly recommend you contact BRVBB for an evaluation!

I always feel good after I’ve taken my dog to Blood Bank, knowing that for just a small amount of my time I’ve done something good for the veterinary community. They treat Cheddar like a queen and she loves getting the special dog treats as her thank you gift!

Everyone is so kind and loving! Our sweet girl, Fiti, was always excited when we went to her donation appts. She never seemed nervous or apprehensive. She is now retired, and i think she misses having a “job.” Wonderful experience over the past 6 yrs!
