I donated blood at the Kent location on Ramsey way and was initially fine with the process. I get my blood drawn for testing every 3 months but had yet to donate. I was tentative about the donation process but the staff were pleasant and helped in getting me situated. This being said after the needle went in initially I felt a burning sensation in my arm. After the donation was complete my entire arm went numb. During the donation the nurse hit a nerve and I have not been able to use my arm to do anything aside from desk work since. Extremely disappointed in the skill level and did not ease my mind about future donations.

I was a few minutes late. The first person I saw and dealt with at the front desk was beyond rude. She gave me attitude and lessons on being late. If not for the people who needed blood donations, I would have turned right around and left, she was that abrasive and rude. She is not an asset to your operation, Bloodworks Northwest. She was rude, snarky and abrasive. Not someone you want at your front desk representing you.

This place is an absolute joke. I come in to donate I have donated over a gallon of blood with these people and this time they are telling me I’m deferred because they couldn’t get a strong enough blood pressure reading and couldn’t hear it. What a joke you guys can’t hear a blood pressure? Are you even a health care professional? I proceeded to ask for the manager as this was ridiculous. The lady working blurted out my information in their main area including my name and my “deferral” reason. Talk about a HIPPA violation
