I asked them to lick the bandage so it wouldn’t stick to my skin so much but they wouldn’t do it. I hate needles and giving blood sucks. But not as much as needing blood. Being whiny about needles isn’t a good enough reason to not give blood. They tolerated my complaining very well. 6/5 , would recommend to everyone.

Terrible clinic to deal with at the administrative level. Lots of needless red tape for people needing a therapeutic phlebotomy. The Medical Director, Dr. Alcorn must approve therapeutic phlebotomies before one can obtain an appt. These take weeks to approve and they don’t call patient to let them know when approved. Why, when one can walk into any Red Cross to donate blood, does Bloodworks NW require their physician to approve orders for blood draw prescribed by one’s own MD? It’s anyone’s guess. Calls to Dr. Alcorn go unanswered. I was finally able to reach Dr. Nestor, the co-Medical director, and was told I needed to speak with Dr. Alcorn, and then HUNG UP ON ME!!! I’m done with this clinic after years of this kind of treatment.

This place is a nuisance to live next to. We live in an apartment building across the street from Bloodworks, and they have been the most inconsiderate neighbors during the years that I’ve been unlucky enough to be stuck next door to them. We have very limited parking here in front of our homes, and rather than asking their customers and employees to park in their spacious parking lot, their employees and customers fill our few spots from early morning until late in the evening. We’ve tried to talk to the people working there on more than one occasion to ask them to be more considerate, each time being told the equivalent of “tough luck.” It is infuriating to come home from work after a long, hard day and find no place to park, especially when there are open spots in their parking lot which we can’t use because we’d surely be towed in a heartbeat for violating their space. It’s really, really easy to request that your employees and customers not cause undue stress on neighbors by parking in the business parking lot, but Bloodworks Northwest has decided to be the worst neighboring business I have ever had the displeasure of knowing. Absolutely ridiculous.
