I received 5-star treatment by Demani at BBD as I donated platelets. She fully explained what she was doing and was attentive. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DONATING BLOOD, PLASMA, PLATELETS HERE. My daughter Giulianna can say similarly about her phlebotomist Savanah as she donated whole blood. I give them 5 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I have called then 2 times to donate plasma. I make an appointment and was told i couldn’t donate at that time. So yesterday I called and the person on the phone said I could donate today. I drive down there obly to be told I can’t donate til September 14. This is the second time I wasted my gas to be told not today..

I was scheduled to donate today with an 11:15 appt. I was interviewed rather quickly and placed in a recliner in the collection area. 45 minutes later I was still waiting to be acknowledged. I understand that places are shorthanded and it was a Saturday. However, the two female individuals that were working in the area were more interested in talking about water ice, cheese steaks and pretzels. I have never felt so disrespected at the Blood Bank. Once my procedure was started, there was an issue and someone else needed to attend to me. At this point, both of the initial individuals were no where to be found. I do hope that my next encounter is much more positive. If not, the Blood Bank may be losing a long time donater.

Donating here is a pleasant experience 50% of the time. The other 50% of the time the wait is long despite having an appt. Additionally, this blood bank rarely offers perks (gift cards, tshirts, movie passes) for donating.

Had a nice experience here. The staff were very friendly and even let me have free peanuts and socks. I was unfortunately placed in a chair in the middle of the room, so I couldn’t see any of the tvs all that well, but I was still able to use my phone.

Everyone there is lovely and professional. They take good care of you and make sure you feel appreciated. They’re very efficient so you’re able to get in and out. I drive the extra distance to go to Delmarva instead of Red Cross because they always make the experience as smooth as possible.

I’ve been here multiple times and today I left in frustration. When I called them they said they were accepting walk-ins. I showed up and they then told me they were not accepting walk-ins anymore, barely 15 minutes later. My schedule is hectic and I was willing to give blood, but because I didn’t have an appt I couldn’t donate. You claim to desperately need blood, but can’t accept walk-ins?!?!?!
