I like this place I do, but if you have and associate yes one of those twins I’m not sure which one cause they look a like lol, but if he is known for mis sticks from people and his fellow associates, re train him especially if the person who is myself gets his arm messed up because of it then listen instead of making excuses, I told them I don’t care about the money or if I even get compensated I don’t care, just re train him not get angry with me saying you have no history of him messing up and that when I first started donating I signed off on basically anything that can go wrong that biomat is not liable, trust I understand and know what I signed that’s why all I said was I think he needs to be retrained, anyone reading this , I think you should stay away from this place, because the manager there yes the older light skin lady does not know how to handle conflict or hold anyone accountable for there actions cause she’s afraid of how it will make her look, I will find a way to make sure this isn’t let go no matter how far up corporate I have to go or how much bad press I will put on this place, I’m always patient with this place and I have had bad sticks in the past and the way other managers handled it was great ,but this manager is very incompetent, STAY AWAY FROM BIOMAT ON 4TH DOWNTOWN BIRMINGHAM, IF YOU GO MAKE SURE TO LET JAMES OR ANY OF THE LADIES STICK YOU DO NOT AND I MEAN DO NOT LET ANY OF THOSE TWINS STICK YOU, YOU WILL REGRET IT

Up until today I had very positive experience at this location, today the kiosk stated I was first in line to be evaluated and my name was called for my medical evaluation but instead of taking me in my assigned spot they took another patient and told me to wait,I would not have said anything if my name had not been called and they took another person in my place, very unprofessional and just st not right to do people that way

The workers here were very disrespectful to my friend who was just wanting to donate plasma. She was disrespected based off what she was wearing which was not even inappropriate. I would suggest going else where, where the workers have basic respect for patients.

I would literally give this a 0 if I could. If you have a job working with people, i would suggest you be respectful and professional. There is no reason to disrespect someone for something they were wearing, ESPECIALLY if it wasn’t inappropriate. It was inappropriate of your staff to disrespect my friend like this. My friend wanted to donate plasma, businesses like you NEED plasma to save lives. Why would you deny someone because of what they were wearing?

Easy cash now! Great fast service. And right now is the best time cuz your either getting $50 or $100 Everytime. New patients a $100 first 6 times and for every friend that you refer, you get $150 after there 2nd donation. Somedays I feel like everyone is staring at me because sometimes I’m the only white guy there, worker or donater. A few can be a little rude but I just overlook it and say yes/no sir/mam. If I was bigger maybe not but at 125 lbs. they probably don’t see me as a 32 yr old man trying to help support a family of 3.

I’ll never come back to this place to donate!!! I have very mild eczema on my arms which was never a problem until MR.RUFUS turned me away saying my arm isn’t clear and I want be quiet so he can talk. I have no flare up what so ever my rash just hasn’t cleared up yet. Ezcema takes months sometimes year to clear up. I feel as if they should get more educated before they turn people away. I simply go to my other local plasma center and have NO PROBLEMS!!

The staff is very rude and I got a possible deferral for no reason at all. I’ve been donating for over 2 years and as soon as I go to grifols I have a problem. Also applied for a position up there and the light skinned guy with the glasses did nothing but try and find a reason to not hire me. I hate this place and will never be returning! And they only pay 10 bucks more than biolife. But with the childcare and appointment system that biolife has. I’d much rather go to them. Fun, friendly and clean environment. Unlike grifols!

Wait times have expanded from 2 to 3 hours during the week and 4 to 5 on Saturday. Ive had a couple of problems waiting on the money to be loaded on my card but other than that, no complaints. I’m very friendly with the majority of the staff and I respect what they have to deal with that people on the outside don’t see. In my opinion, things could go more smoother and quicker if they would hire at least 2 more stickers and have a section for new donors only while have the other 2 sections for returnees and after they stop accepting new donors on a particular day, then have that section for whoever is left for new donors and returns. Also, when your going threw screening and if your temperature or blood pressure or pulse is too high or low and they give you 15 before rescreening, 15 minutes isn’t hardly long enough to pass rescreening. My suggestion would be 30 minutes to sit and then if nothing has changed, then defer until the next day. I was deferred for 2 weeks because I had a temp over 100 and I didn’t have a fever. When I left, my temp was back to normal. I guess its just time to stop going because they have gotton real strict on the screening and will defer u real quick for any little thing and it never use to be that way. I’ve been donating off and on for 8 or 9 years and the changes that has occurred isn’t right but it is what it is. Now another thing is about bruises. I understand when you have a bruise that’s visible on one arm and can use the other arm, but when ur other arm doesn’t have a bruise but it’s your skin tone and still get turned away, then something is very wrong. People do bruise easier than others because of tightness of the wrap on your arm as I do but when a bruise isnt ur doing, you still get turned away and that’s not right but some of them there don’t care, only care about a check. I love the workers to death personally as they already know but the company rules and how quick they turn people away isn’t right, especially if it’s not the person’s doing. Like myself, my skin tone on my arms are light and what they’re saying what’s on my right arm is a bruise but it’s my skin and if they can’t tell the difference then they need glasses or another line of work.

Went to this location because I was referred. I donate blood often and when I was informing a friend how school was breaking the pockets she suggested I donate plasma at this location for money. I called prior to coming and asked a series of questions. I get there 2 days later and when I get there they tell me that I am 5 miles out of the radius for where they can service so I wasted even more money that I didn’t have.I personally think that is the vital piece of information that should have been told over phone as well should be posted on the website.
