Just got stuck today and the woman who did it didn’t even feel for my vein. Literally just shoved the needle in my arm and clearly missed. She pulled it out slightly and started squirming around in my arm. My arm swelled up and she went to get my other arm situated and I dipped out of there quick. Please train the people you hire to actually know how to feel for veins and stick people properly. If I can feel my vein without issue then they shouldn’t either how embarrassing. I got $5 though thanks for messing my arm up.

I donated last Thursday. On my right arm. The girl that stuck me seemed unsure. She stuck me then moved the needle. My vein infiltrated. I definitely feel like it was her fault. I’m not able to give plasma down because I’m so bruised. I’ve never had this issue before.

The place is good. A older lady checked my arms and thought I had bruises. I checked my arms thinking what is she talking about. Yeah I had a few small pink marks. I had bed bugs earlier this year and thought I gotten rid of them. Several months went by and Nothing happened then all of a sudden out of no where I am getting bite marks again.

Honestly, I liked the place in the beginning but the business in Penn Hills isn’t that good. The front screening is good, professional and kind staff, the back with the workers has been declining. I was waiting 45 minutes to even be set up to one of the machines, no communication. They finally get to me, they somewhat start hooking me up then abandon me, again no communication. Come back, the machine doesn’t seem to be working and they have to fix it but no one said anything, just disappeared again. Then when they were hooking me up, another employee who was ill was talking to the person setting me up, distracting them, talking about “cheese” and food, it took so long to get wet up. I’m here to donate to pay my bills, not sit here with no communication and have my time wasted…

My first two visits went fine. On the third visit they claimed that I was .1 degrees over the temperature limit of 99.5. Supposedly this results in what amounts to at least a two week deferral, requiring a second blood draw that has to go out to their lab before I can donate again. Been donating since 2009 and I’ve never heard of anything like this.

Was denied 2x to start as a new donor, because they quote were short staffed. Came 4 hrs early to be turned away. It’s absolutely unprofessional. 10/10 don’t recommend coming here.
