Visited this location yesterday, 09-16-2023 4pm Appt without reviewing any of the previous reviews. Pls review all the negative reviews and decide for yourself. First visit, 09-16-2023, Mason and female nurse helped by answering my questions as a first time donor. They both helped me a lot by answering my questions. Came back the next day, 09-17-2023 2pm Appt because I was comfortable enough to come back and donate. Well, I had additional question about one of their questions and I respectfully & professionally told Ivan (M.S.S. Nurse) I need time and may need to reschedule my appointment. Ivan said, ok. Then, 5 mins later, Ivan and the other male staff in training called me to Ivan’s office and told me because of my anxiety, they will have to deny my donation. I said, why? He said, because I was asking the staff questions yesterday. I said, don’t I have the right to ask questions? Also, Ivan you are not my doctor to tell me I have anxiety. I told him, I LOVE TO DONATE and I DONT HAVE ANXIETY!!! I just need to know the process because I’m a first time blood donor. Manager and supervisor on 09-17-2023 was there when, manager asked Ivan if he received permission from doctor to deny me. I told manager, NO, Ivan scheduled 8 of my appointments with no concerns or questions asked. Ivan, you need to be more respectful in honoring donors request in rescheduling because they need extra time to think about it. Don’t just intimidate the donors! Help the donors succeed! Worst experience ever! Follow the red flags! In the beginning, one staff didn’t come and check on me when she told me she will get back to me. Then, I had a question on the fingerprinting not working to answer questions. I asked the staff, she said, ok. Then I said, ok as in someone will be with me or ok just figure it out yourself. I also had to ask one of the gals to change their gloves because the gal was about to check my protein levels without changing her gloves, as it was the same one she was wearing before helping me. Btw, bathroom gets cleaned twice a week too.

Arrived early for appt still waited 37+ mins to just get checked in another 7 to get hooked up to donate almost the entire time it would take me to donate. People’s time is not valued here. Additionally they will respond to this feedback say they care tell me to reach out online then never respond. Service has gone down, staff seems to be turning over more so company must be neglecting them as well. Save yourself the headache find a different clinic.

Most of the staff is very nice. But you can never tell if you’ll be there for a normal amount of time or 3 hours+. So plan time. I do agree with the “sloth pace”. Today I had to wait 30 minutes after I finished my donation, to be unhooked. This is the 2nd time they’ve skipped unhooking me and unhooked some else first (who actually finished After I did). Shrug. That’s probably the thing that irks me the most.. Sitting there for 30+min, needing to use the bathroom, and then they skip you, and unhook someone else. I do let them know but there’s no empathy or care given. You can only hope that next time you get one of the good ones!

Staff are super friendly and efficient. However, lately the lines are super long. It takes me nearly 3 hours from check in to exit. They either need more staff or reduce the # of appointments. Almost to the point of not worth the time. Only reason for 3* is due to the long lines lately 9

They made me stop donating, because one of the employees messed up and forgot to plug in my plasma to bottle and my plasma went everywhere. Told them what happened and got sick one time. Told them weeks after the innocent. And get a call from biolife stating I can’t donate nomore due to high blood pressure. What? I’m healthy never had high blood pressure in my life. So they are not to be trusted. I’m donating my plasma else where . Had no choice google made me leave one star just to post this real experiment!

Everyone here is always very friendly and efficient! I’m doing 5 stars cause this place ALWAYS seems to be busy and I think all of them do a great job trying to get people in and out. I expect the wait, maybe others who are giving the bad reviews don’t. I’m always out in under and hour and a half. They are on their feet moving all day, so I can only imagine how tired they are after a shift. This center has an excellent team, keep up the great work!

Arrived 15 mins early to my appointment time of 4:05 Still waited 40 mins after to get hooked up. 1st time back 2 months not thrilled with the service. Don’t waste your time go to new Grifols in Surprise. Get 100.00 a donation for new donors.

I have always had a positive experience going to the Avondale location. They staff is friendly and helpful. I understand there can be wait times and sometimes you just have to be patient and schedule accordingly.

I love this location. Most of the staff is friendly and kind. They are usually very clean! However they have had a sink out of order for about two weeks and it was full of dirty water in the bathroom for a week of that. I thought that was a little gross. Honestly though they are one of the best if not the best places to go!!!
