I have been a fairly donor for two years. I think the staff is great at this location. Wait times vary a lot and I expect there is reason for it each time. I go to appointments expecting two hours for the donation process – if I am done early, I am thrilled and if not, I am not surprised. I hope this location can improve the process time with more staff. I do hope that BioLife will keep compensation at $140/week or better. It does make it worth the trip. It has been a long time since extra bonus incentives have been offered. I have always donated blood and believe in the humanitarian effort, but being paid for my effort is a bonus.

The staff are all friendly, yet professional/ very concerned about making sure you are comfortable and attentive if you need anything. And the center is always clean. Just wish they would stop playing the offensive rap music.

Rude phlebotomist had me hooked up to a machine for over an hour while coming back 4 times to readjust the needle(and basically giving me a hematoma) before “suggesting” I use my other arm. Had she not played in my arm for an hour I might have been more willing. Then she ended my session early after telling me I could keep using the same arm. I left with a bruise and I got cheated out of my last promotional payment and STILL have not heard back from a manager after calling 3 days ago. I wouldn’t recommend. I’ve had nothing but issues.

This location is very poorly run. I donate on a consistent basis. 2 weeks ago a tech poorly placed a needle and the flow was not great. I told him it felt like it was in the muscle. He said “it’s not”. He continued with the process. I finally had to ask another associate to fix it because I was in pain. We switched arms. As of today, I am still heavily bruised. I went to the center to have it checked and possibly donate, because hey, we all need money. I got here early before my appointment because I didn’t want to wait all day to be told I can’t donate. I waited 45 minutes for an arm check. I was even asked by multiple people what my name was. So, it’s believed that I was “in queue”. Well, they took more physicals before me. I would have had to wait even more time. I’ll find another location to go to.

Biolife emails me specials all the time to get me to come back in. I finally decide to come back and donate again. I scheduled an appointment and even took off work. When I get there, at my appointment time, they tell me I need another physical because I haven’t been in for 4-6 months, and it needs to be scheduled. I drove all the way up there after taking off work and I cannot get my physical today and I cannot donate today. Why, in all those emails they sent me, not one mentioned this. The only way to find out about this is to waste your time driving up there. I give them 1 star for extremely poor communication.
