I really wanted to like this place. Everyone was so nice and the first time donation process is quick. However, I ended up at the ER after my donation. They didn’t insert the needle correctly and my donation was cut short because of “no flow”. They came back by and moved the needle around in my arm and tried one more time. They then tried to give me saline but as the needle was not in my vein, my arm bubbled up and the saline started dripping out of the needle onto my arm. I left with a swollen arm and the bruising is horrific. I’ve called and left messages and even filled out their form online (the one they respond to every negative review with) I can’t get ahold of anyone and they need to pay my hospital bill.

On 9/19/23 I had a 6 am appointment along with many others. Apparently the center had the floors waxed the day before and nothing was put back in place. We all waited till 6:30 before we were even let in to start the process. Then everyone that was at 6 had to be checked in since our times had expired. Topping it off they had very little staff, one person at the front till Ben started helping out, thanks Ben for helping all of us. Needless to say it took over two hours to donate, usually it takes me 45 min start to finish. Management is lacking at this place, you guys are running off your staff and customers. You could have at the very least gave us all coupons for our time that was above and beyond the usual. Get it together or close the doors because you guys are not getting better.

Only come here if you have 5+ hours, and no, I don’t mean for a first donation with physical. They run a $900/month promotion, but they never have any staff. One person to do finger pokes? Then they turned away about 50 people with appointments. You wait in a bed 15+ minutes before you’re even hooked up. Then they’re in no hurry, ever. The two girls stood and gossiped for over 10 minutes, yes I could hear, yes I timed it with the other 50 or so people waiting, and no, it wasn’t in any way work related. They need lessons from CSL on efficiency and caring for our time. I’ve been in the service industry over 18 years and dealt with clients for 10…. This is my first bad review to ever leave, because I now see what my friends meant by “better have a whole day, because the staff is low and doesn’t care.”

This location is desperately understaffed. If it wasn’t clear when it was an average 3-4 hour donation time all through July and maybe it wasn’t clear when they flew in people last week to work then it definitely is today when they only have 2 people hooking up donors, have a line of at least 30 people waiting and a guy outside losing his mind because he’s been waiting 5 hours on someone to donate that he dropped off.

Waited an 1 hour to get my vitals checked, another hour and a half in line waiting to be seated. Now it’s 45 minutes in the seat without being attended to. Hope you’ve got 4-5 hours to spare cause I’ve never experienced this much wait time before even when they were low on staff.

I’m gonna give this place 1 Star to start, I liked the whole process of setting an appointment so you’re not waiting forever. My appointment was for 8:15, I arrived at 8:05, I didn’t get called until 8:30, There ended up being an IT issue, my name was in the system from the old center is what the lady said. They took my info and said they would have to send it to IT before they could add me in the system. So I wasted approx an hour of my time and wasn’t able to donate. Depending on how they handle this from here on out will determine how I may or may not adjust my review. The fact that I can’t get ahold of anyone via phone is pretty frustrating. I wasn’t given a timeline or how long it would take. They only asked if I wanted them to call me when they got it figured out. Hopefully that was a rhetorical question. Follow up to this review, I left this center, made another appointment at the Del City location and they had no problems getting me in the system.

This location is clean and nice, I definitely enjoy the atmosphere at this location. The staff is friendly from check in, to the donor floor and the nurse team as well. They’re attentive and on top of things when there’s an episode with a donor. So by no means us there’s an issue with facility’s cleanliness and atmosphere. My concerns is the lack of customer service. I heard management tell an employee that this is voluntary because customers were complaining about the long lines and wait. To have it mandatory to make an appointment and still be having to go through the entire process for three hours as a return donor is frustrating at times, not including the new dubious thrown in there as well. There should be a certain number of new donor allowed per day because I feel it’s not fair to the nurses or the new donors especially if there’s an episode in the floor. Then in my personal opinion there should be a limit or cut off on new donors per day. There’s been times I’ve witnessed a lot of standing around and just kinda congregating and just like not concerned that lines are wrapped around people having to sit down or it’s only two phlebotomist on the donor floor, like disregarding that other people have things to do. Although that this is voluntary some of us have jobs and lives but some of our employers offer us bonuses for doing things like this and extra cash is handy. There’s definitely a lack of customer service at this facility at least when it counts. This facility literally just had a team from Tulsa here to assist due to staffing issues and appts closed off. I just fell there’s definitely a better way to help your organization at this facility to flow better. Now I’ve seen management on the floors assisting but all I ask is that management is mindful that we have jobs and lives and schedule appt times for a certain reason. I do take into account the entire process when I schedule. I’ve been in management and personally this is disheartening. Great facility and team but revisit the customer service.

Well, I have to say I don’t think I will ever go back. My first experience was a joke. While multiple people ahead of my wife and me, who already checked in were allowed to leave and walk back in for their appointment, I wasn’t allowed the same. I didn’t get the employee’s name but she shouldn’t be in customer service at all. My wife forgot her wallet in our truck and asked me to go grab it. The employee then informed my wife, and I quote. “Well, he just lost his appointment”. This after arriving on time for our appointment and sitting for 25 minutes to be help. My wife just got up and walked out. I have read multiple reviews about 1 employee being rude and now we know who it is. We won’t be back. While the other employee that was making sure we weren’t skipped, and was doing her best to honor appointment arrivals she had to argue with the rude employee about the times. All this right in front of clients.
