Every time I have been here, I’ve been in and out in about 45 mins to an hour. I usually come on my days off and before 12-1 PM. Today I came in for an 11:25 appointment and walked out the door at 12:35 (afters spending about 10 minutes in the restroom)

The money is good, but they don’t value your time. Their website says it takes a little over an hour, but in practice it has been taking about 2 hours. This is all controllable by someone in the company. Every Donor has to have a time slot, and they know how many staff they have for the donation beds, and how many staff they have for checking donors in, so they have an idea how many donations per hour they can do. Baring staff calling in sick, or a donation just taking way to long, they shouldn’t have so many people showing up for a time slot that it takes an hour just to get to the point that they can start taking your plasma. It shouldn’t get to the point where half their available beds are waiting for a donor, but they are in line just waiting to even get checked in.

Today I waited 1hr and 45 minutes to be seated. Once seated I then continued to wait until I could not wait and longer. They only had four of the six sections opened with one employee in each. One employee doing vitals and new donors moving ahead of current donors. If they are going to be open and continue to allow full schedules they should make sure they have enough employees to work and see donors in a timely manner. I’m guessing if I would have stayed to give my donation I would have been there for at least four hours!

I understand donating is voluntary and we are getting paid- However, the wait time is insane. Each visit I spend apx 2 hours just waiting. Wait 1 hour to get a bed, another hour to start actually donating. 3 hours per visit…Why bother with appts? Maybe spread appts out 15 or 20 min vs 5/10 as it gets later in the day? The staff is always polite and friendly and the location is clean.

It takes an hour to even get hooked up to the machine most of the time despite being required to make an appointment. I used to donate at a walk in clinic that was faster. There’s also one lady that works there that is incredibly slow. She usually works in the back left corner and it takes her 10 mins just to get you on the machine and I’ve noticed her getting an attitude with other employees. Everyone else has been very nice and professional.

Most times that I’ve come it’s pretty busy but thankful for the opportunity to help others and make some money while doing so! The only think I’d say is that it’d be nice if the company staffed the Lenexa branch to better accommodate the donors. Everyone that works here is great!

I walked through the door at 1:05p today for my 1:15 appt. I am still awaiting a bed to make a donation. I will be lucky if I get done in the next hour and a half.

Super friendly. My third donation was a bit of a trouble. My veins kept rolling and I left with a hematoma and unable to donate for about two weeks but they were calm and professional through the whole process. Plus it wasn’t anything they did, my veins just like to be problematic for everyone and they had more luck sticking them than my doctors ever had for blood work. Only thing I’d recommend is make sure you eat beforehand and bring something to keep you warm! It is understandably chilly at the center.

The facility was clean and the process was efficient. The problem is you must book your donation time and the place is booked for 2-3 weeks at a time. So, the extra money you would have made is out the window, because you can’t schedule your donation times.

I was nervous about the whole process but was recommended by a friend so I decided to try. The facility is bright and clean and all of the staff are very kind and understanding! It’s easy money and I’m currently saving for vacation! Highly recommend!
