I had called up a day prior before making the two hour drive to make sure I would be able to donate as I had donated 3 days before at a church drive and was told I would still be able to donate as a new patient (that I am) so I made the drive did the whole check in and went through all the steps then as Im at the end of everything they tell me they can’t take any blood from me till October.

Great staff I started donating plasma really to help a friend out with a referral but found it to be fast and easy so I continued. I now donate 1x a week in Joplin and 1x week in Springfield due to my work schedule and they make going back and forth a very easy process. I would give 5 stars but 5 stars IMO would mean perfection and I feel with every place there is always room for improvement. With BioLife the only issue I’ve had is that sometimes I can be hard to contact them by phone. They say it’s because they were really busy which I can see but it also says their understaffed. But over I highly recommend

I’ve been donating at BioLife for 3 to 4 years with no issues. I had a good promotion so I made an appointment at 7:05 AM to donate. I went to take the quiz and it says I need a physical which I don’t because my app says my physical is not due until February at the following year. Go to the front desk and no one is at the front and I asked the girl that is testing if I could talk to someone and she says no one is here. So I wait in line 10 minutes and when I’m next in line, the guy that supposed to do the testing turns around and walks away with 4 people in line snd doesn’t come back. So I wait some more and that same girl calls me up and I said it won’t let me quiz because it says I need a physical and I showed her my app and she says you need to go upfront. I said that’s what I just asked you. She was very rude. Everyone has always been so nice. So she went and got the nurse and the nurse said it’s throw me into physical because I haven’t donated for six months. I went longer than that without donating, and it’s never throw me into physical. I don’t have two hours today so I left and will never be back to this establishment. There’s other places that I can donate plasma!!

I went in there like three weeks ago. Some of the workers are lacking in the communication department. Fluctuating between friendly and seeming suspicious. I was terrified to go in there it was a big deal for me to do this and then in a way luckily I got to go home but I had nothing to eat at home! (needed $ bad at the time) I got turned down for the time being for having PTSD and not being able to find the document that says which type of arthritis I have. They said they faxed the doctor, the doctor said he faxed them back, but still no progress. I still have not been called back and when I called, they said just come talk to the nurse. why do I gotta make a special trip? Nurse just told me to take the paperwork to my doctor myself. so that’s what I’m doing right now. I went to CSL the day after coming here the first time (weeks ago) and they are much more friendly and less hoops to jump through. Once their doctors back in I guess I’ll be back over there.

I always have a good experience at BioLife, they sometimes can take a bit longer than expected but I understand there’s so many people and it’s a lot of upkeep to help everyone. Whenever I feel uncomfortable with my cuff they get it fixed. I really like going here and I like how kind the staff is. If you like saving lives and being paid in return I highly recommend donating!

I always have an awesome experience here. The staff are friendly, helpful, and wonderfully accommodating. I’m in there frequently enough that a lot of staff members recognize me, and it’s always nice to be able to chat with them. My phlebotomist today, Krystin, was super sweet! She was able to insert and remove the needle with minimal pain, was friendly and answered any question I had, and wore a bright smile. It’s nice to feel valued 🙂

BioLife is the best place to donate! All the staff is so friendly and very professional. The facility exceptionally clean, the staff follow protocol throughout the donation process, making you feel confident that you are in safe hands. Always eager to educate and answer any questions. I have been to other donation centers and they can’t even come close to the cleanliness and professionalism of BioLife. Highly recommend!!!

It’s really hard to get a hold of anyone there. They use the excuse of, “we are really short staffed.” Which I get, but I left a voicemail 2 weeks prior to my first donation asking questions about the paper work my doctor needs to fill out and they never called me back. I continue to try to get a hold of them with no response. So I had my doctor fill out the paper work and I took it into the nurse (they didn’t give me a fax number). They proceeded to tell me that they do not accept hand delivered paper work and that I couldn’t donate until it was faxed over to them. So my doctor faxed it over, they never received it, and never bothered to call me. I had to call them and they just basically said it sucks but I have to wait a whole other week until the doctor comes back in. They make you jump through hoops just to donate but don’t want to properly communicate or work with you.

I’ve had good experiences here 9 out of 10 times, and I’ve been here a lot. Always clean. The employees are pretty great, and there are enough that you can request someone else if there is any issue with a specific person.

Biolife is super clean! And almost all of the staff have great attitudes. Ms. Shawne is absolutely lovely! I’ve been going for a while and she is always smiling and talking up donors, making them feel at ease about the process! She deserves a raise, she’s a great example of what kindness looks like!
