The higher ups need to do better for the employees. The wait times being 2 and 3 hours due to low staff retention is unacceptable. Create a better work/ life balance for your employees and they might stick around longer. I used to come here to donate years ago and could always get in and out in about 1 hour. Now, having to stand in a line for hours is killing my back. I’m going to have to stop coming until management can get it together and fully staff the facility. Five stars for the employees. They are great. Treat them better!

Well… they send an email after every visit so I guess I should go ahead and share my review. First off I donate on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s after work. My appointment time is scheduled for 3:30 P.M. As of late I don’t even make it past the vitals checkpoint without an hour passing by so now we are at 4:30 P.M. and the donation process hasn’t even begun. Next another line I am sent to wait for an available bed to be available. The employee then cleans the bed with a rag and a bottle that has been used all day long. So how clean is that same rag really at 4:45 P.M. Suggestion why not get disposable wipes like Clorox or one time use sanitizer wipes and not use the same dirty rag all day long. Next I am sat in a section most specifically yesterday Purple color section. Noticed there was a person before me who hadn’t been acknowledged or even started the process. So I knew I was going to be a while this is the frustrating part why seat me in a section with no visible sign of an employee. There was know one around at I had to yell to an employee casually walking by as they all do it seems. So someone could start on her and then me next. I am not understanding the process of the appointment system if I am still waiting over an hour to get the process started and then roughly an hour to donate? I do like Basel the employee at this location very friendly and knowledgeable. Also the vitals employee with the purple hair older white lady she is very nice and helpful. TWO employees out of a lot of standing around and no sense of urgency at all!!

They work hard and seem like great people at this center but staffing seems to be an issue. There are lines wrapped around the office I routinely don’t get checked in and started donating until an hour+ after checking in. 1/3 of the center is always closed down. On top of that donating without a coupon just isn’t worth the money or drive with the insane waits I’ve experienced.

They want your donation but they don’t have any staff to take care of you in a timely manner

I’ve been coming here for years. Everyone is mindful of your comfort and health first. I’ve never had anyone rude even when they’re all rushing around frantically to keep up with the donors. It’s the only place I’ll trust.

I used to drive 30 miles to donate here. The staff is great but they never have enough staff. Most days you can wait 2 hours or more just to get a bed. The final straw for me was showing up 6 minutes after my scheduled appointment to be told I couldn’t donate because I was late, I had just driven 30 miles and due to an accident impeding traffic smh not going to jump through hoops for $40

Love the independence crew! There’s always a line it seems a little stressful but they always take time to talk to. You are professional sanitary, and they always get me out of there as soon as possible.

The staff here is awesome however the whole appointment thing is a complete waste of time! Why set one up when your gonna come in to literally 30 people in line! They’ve been open long enough to have their stuff together. Short staffed or not quit taking appointments! Rant over.

Treated very poorly by a nurse during my yearly physical. I am currently a nurse and was told I was a poor historian over a tattoo I have had for over 4 months just didn’t know the exact date. She was deferring me forever. Now remember she was talking about me to someone in the next room and I heard it all. This is very unprofessional and unacceptable. I get people go there for the income but I go there out of the kindness of my heart to help others being a nurse myself. I will never refer anyone to go back there.
