This was my first experience donating plasma and it was more than I’d expected. The center was very clean and the staff was very understanding and helpful. I was fortunate enough to have the best technicians in Chicago to draw my blood and to provide services for the plasma deposit. The management was on top of things, even when circumstances arose they gave clarity on the situation and answered any questions patrons would have. I look forward to my next plasma donation in the next few months or so.

Management is very lazy and rude. 100% would not recommend if you value your life. To think that the center manager would not only lie to me over the phone but lie to me in my face. I’ve worked in multiple plasma centers before to understand that they need help and most of the staff is undertrained the ones that will stay or are properly trained, will use the new hires as a revolving door, while unaware of the of the industry. Causing under trained individuals performing venipuncture stabbings, to lead your workforce. I hope that BioLife is informed of the poor standard operating practices

Miss Simone did her thing up front, she was treating me so well it felt like she was family. Jordan was respectful cool minded and friendly patient with me and made it a good over all experience.

Where do I start?? Went to this location on Friday , September 15, 2023. While in the chair before my donation started, a staff member noticed blood on my armrest. He immediately grabbed it and sanitized it for me. When another staff member was getting my machine prepared, She noticed blood on the chair I was elevated on. She immediately pulled me up only to realize I had someone else’s blood on the back of my clothes. She took me back to the front to a guy named Nick. He offered to pay for my dry cleaning and told me I couldn’t donated that day ( why, it wasn’t my fault? A total waste of my time & gas), but gave me a coupon for $25.00 extra on my next 2 future donations. WTH??? No real apology, no incident report, and I had to ask for a bag to put my shirt in that I was holding in my hand after I took it off. But then it get’s worst, Nick say’s “Well at least you don’t have any open wounds on your body, so that’s a good thing”. A good thing after I was laying in someone else’s blood?? Not sure if this was the proper protocol for such an incident, but if it is it needs to be revised expeditiously. Terrible experience to say the least. However………most of the staff members are Phenomenal, especially Lillia, Shakila & Thomas, and I will miss seeing them.

Ms. Annie Bryan made my second Day Back feel like My first. I was nervous because My first day I had a nurse stick me wrong. She happens to be the supervisor and I highly recommend you ask her to poke you when you come/go to visit. She assured me that she would take her time and stick me where I’m comfortable and deserves Recognition!

This is an excellent facility but its problems Are from its successful marketing. Repeat donating last week 2 1/2 hours and this week 3 1/2 hours. With proper management start to finish should be 1 1/2 hours. I know they will get better.

Had a great experience being a first time donor at this new Plasma Center. I was in and out within 2.5 hours!! The front desk was helpful, ensuring check in was smooth. The entire space was clean, including the bathroom. I’m addition, they offer you crackers and water before donating, which is a plus!

Some of their staff take blood donors for granted. And they speak rudely. Also, with the recent power outages, we drive to the location, there is no power, we drive back without complaints, reschedule the appointment, come and stand on the queue only for the staff to tell me that I am one minute late and they can’t serve me. What a farce!!

Porsha has consistenty made my visits quick and pleasant. I have a lot of questions and need a lot of reassurance. She’s been patient and clearly explained the process. I’m grateful to the entire team for making the process quick and efficient. It’s easy to become a number in Chicago, but Porsha welcomed me back, made me feel seen and heard. If you’ve had bad experiences with needles, doctors or people in general I suggest this be your donation center.

~although the staff is friendly. it is extremely slow moving over here. Was there for a total of 3 hours. i had an appointment at 4:30, had to stand around in line. they don’t want you to use the chairs. i didn’t get to sit until 6:30. the cleanliness needs attention, i had to ask them to wipe down the chair before i sat. the trash cans throughout are All Always overflowing.
