Not sanitary, they don’t change gloves after blood draw and needle sticks. They touch everyone with the same gloves. Even if the gloves aren’t visibly soiled they should be changed whenever there was contact with blood or bodily fluid. This is how diseases are spread. The lines are outrageous… sometimes I wait 3+ hours to just to get a chair. No point in making an appointment if I won’t be helped at that time. Staff sometimes isn’t the friendliest.

Nurse Ruby is the BEST! I was having a hard time loading my coupon for coming back after six months and Nurse Ruby helped so I could get the great deal. Everyone here is always in such a good mood! Makes the whole process easier and fun.

I haven’t been able to donate in months simply because I don’t have 3-4+ hours to complete a donation. I used to be able to get in and out of the facility in about an hour. I understand being understaffed is clearly an issue, but hopefully anything can be done to counteract the issues resulting from this.

I understand that places are understaffed a lot of the time now, but I’ve been donating at Biolife for I think 2, almost 3 years now and it seemed to run so much more smoothly before. There NEVER used to be a line (in really any of the sections) you would maybe have to wait a few minutes at the beginning to get your blood tested first to see if you could donate, but that usually wasn’t more than 10 minutes. I’d get approved to donate and they would send me to a color section immediately most of the time. I was usually in and out in about an hour. Now, I get there and wait like 40 minutes in line JUST to do the initial blood test, then go wait an hour standing in line waiting to get to a chair, then waiting an additional 20 minutes for someone to even hook me up to the machine. Then I usually try to donate as fast as I can – which is usually the fastest part of the whole process – and by the time I’m off the machine again, it’s been like 3 hours of my time I’ve been there which is ridiculous, because I always come straight from a long work day to do this. It NEVER used to be like this, there NEVER used to be LONG LONG lines for everything. I’m not sure what changed over the last year or so with the donation process, mostly just even getting into a chair takes so long, but it is NOT working. The process you guys had before went so smoothly and people were out in an hour/hour and a half. Please do something to fix this… waiting 3 hours is not good and extremely frustrating. I’d like to keep donating to help people, but the waiting process is horrible…

The staff is amazing! The company itself though, not so much. Need to pay more and hire more people to lower wait times. Being there north of 3 hours for one visit is crazy.

Decrease the amount of time it takes to donate. Took over 2 hours to even get to a chair. That and splitting the money more evenly would encourage me to donate more knowing that if I don’t get the opportunity to donate twice in one week I would at least get one in. As it is now if I know I can’t get the second one in I am not going in for the first one. Especially since it takes around 4 hours to donate. Yes that includes time for me to drive there but for $40 it’s a hard pill to swallow.

Bolingbrook Biolfe employee Desiree tech is a wonderful person to have on a pic. She is professional and very knowledgeable at her craft. I enjoy sitting in her area, I know I’m going to have a good stick.

This location is clean and the staff is fine, but the wait is insane. It should be in and out in an hour tops, but I’m lucky if I get out in under 2 hours. Having fewer than 3 screening techs up front is preposterous, but for some reason whoever is in charge cannot seem to figure that out. The workflow is just not well thought out at all, creating horrific wait times.
