I have been going here for a while but this is the second time with the same tech that totally missed my extremely easy vein and not only caused pain but a hematoma from my elbow to my forearm. I keep telling her that it hurt but she just kept picking. Not again. I’m done. Not to mention that once I got in the blue section it took almost a half a hour before someone even acknowledged me. Not great customer service. I also noticed in my section 4 people including myself had both arms bandaged. The most frustrating part was this nurse who kept asking me if I drink enough water or ate well. I finally got angry and said it wasn’t my fault it was your tech that obviously needed more training

I have been a donor at the BioLife on Appleton’s west side for a number of years. They are friendly, professional, and do whatever they can to move everyone through the process. They thank you for your patience when you have to wait, because let’s face it – they, like everyone else can have employee shortages at times. Everyone there tries to be friendly and welcoming and helpful. They do a great job and it’s always a pleasure to donate there. I feel like I have friends there now, and they are providing a valuable life-giving service.

set an appointment online at 12:50 and waited for 20 mins. Went up to the desk to ask for assistance and one of the ladies who I’m pretty sure was a manager didn’t do anything whatsoever to help. Waited about 10 more mins, went up to the desk again just to have someone tell me I have to set another appointment for a different day. I think I’ll go to the Eisenhower location from now on.

I’ve had 450 donations here, and all of the staff is amazing. I know most if not all of the phlebotomists/technicians by name and it would take an hour to give them the praise they deserve. I also appreciate them keeping a level head through staff shortages and hope nothing but the best for each and every one of them. Thank you!

9 times out of 10 everything goes smoothly. There’s always those random days where the lines are obnoxious and it takes well over a half hour from my appt time to actually get hooked up. But the staff is nice and I enjoy my break from my kids while I donate.

Wait times are getting out of control. Appointment times are scheduled for a reason. Numerous times I haven’t been hooked up until 30 minutes past my appointment time due to overbooking and being understaffed. Very inconvenient especially with school starting up soon. There needs to be a better limit to how many people can book appointments for certain times to eliminate the problem. Really makes me think twice about continuing to donate

Love this place. I’ve had 3 donations and I’ve had issues with my iron that I had no idea about, I’ve been taking iron meds and I’ve never felt better. I am now having nervous pulse issues when I go in and they’re so friendly and try their hardest to calm me down and help me. Even though most the time it’s still high, I never feel uncomfortable here. Thank you!

I used to donate on a regular basis years ago at the Biolife in Fond du Lac and Oshkosh. Never had any issues with physicals or scheduling. Fast forward a few years later and not only have I been treated like a new donor but I have been deferred 2 times now. I have only donated a couple of times so far. Now this last deferral is because they are “still waiting” for the blood test they took during my first donation. I got on the $700 in 8 donations returning donor promotion on July 1st and now it is the 17th so there goes that promotion! I guess this is how they get ya on the promotions. Think I will do what others have suggested and go to the Eisenhower location.

Awful service. Favoritism towards certain donors. On multiple occasions I’ve sat down and waited 15-20 minutes because people walking in after me are hooked up first. These same people are on a first name basis with the workers. The manager didn’t seem to care and said, “well, the donation is voluntary.”

I’ve donated here for the past 6 months or so and never really had any problems. But today when I went, my technician (Tawnia) didn’t insert the needle correctly and had to make an adjustment, which then caused swelling and a hematoma. It was difficult to pump, there was some slight pain, but they wanted to try the other arm. I said no and called it a day. Tawnia is always very nice, but she doesn’t seem confident in what she’s doing and always seems flustered by the job, which makes me uncomfortable. I may go back, but will try to avoid her or ask for someone else. The trust is gone.
