The staff here is amazingly kind. Until my most recent Scheduled donation at which I was not allowed to donate because someone pressed a wrong button… They wanted to take my blood for free with no compensation! And they attempted to do this twice without my knowledge I had to ask and then make them stop.

I’ve never donated plasma before and decided I could use a little extra cash this month. I made an account online and made a new donor physical and donation appointment. I arrived ten minutes early for my appointment. I was told to sit in the front until they can help me. They made me sit there for about 30 minutes before someone at the front desk would help me, all the while people are coming in and getting helped at the front desk. In the meantime I hear someone else announce that they will no longer be doing physicals for the day, which I had a specific appointment for. Once they finally help me at the desk they won’t accept my W-2’s for SSN. Complete waste of my time.

Scheduled a physical with donation. Connie, at the counter, asked what I’d eaten recently. At 8pm I had spaghetti and banana smoothie, at midnight I had 2 Hardee’s big roast beefs, I slept until 10. I ate 2 bananas, bunch of cherries, an apple, and 2 liters of water. She told me that’s not enough, moved my appt back and sent me to kwik trip to eat a ‘healthy snack’ I laughed. I told her I am still full from my odd schedule last night. Didn’t matter. I went and ate, jumped through their hoops and donated. On my way out, I noticed a woman at the counter also being lectured by Connie. They gave her a bag of chips, a granola bar and water and had her eat them in the waiting area. I’m smelling discrimination here…

Every time I come to this center have issues. For some reason I feel every time I’m here I always get a new employee that bruises me or can’t find my vein. Not only that but my machine malfunctions at the end of my donation and didn’t return my blood so I’m sitting here for an extra 40 minutes. Just having a run of poor experiences here. I hope they get it together.

Great staff and a very clean and sanitary facility. Everyone I observed was spot on with their PPE and precautions. The staff are friendly and really make the experience comfortable.

Most staff is great but I had a terrible intake experience with TJ. On his first attempt to take a sample he did it incorrectly and this took a long time. I asked twice for him to try a different finger and he refused. The collection tube ended up breaking and so he needed a different finger- this one bled immediately and yet he still took a long time and a lot of blood to collect the sample.

I live almost an hour away and have come here twice this week. The first time, my iron was low by one point so they wouldn’t let me donate-not their fault. However, I’m back today while they are extremely overbooked and behind…she has me leave for 20 minutes and come back and everything would have been in order (including my iron levels since I’ve been taking the supplements)….the woman asked me if I ate anything this morning (I’ve never been asked this before & she didn’t ask anyone else. I mean no one. including my mother who was with me) then she proceeded to send me into the nurses office for them to tell me I can’t donate because I ate animal crackers for breakfast…like what? I understand safety precautions, but I don’t neglect to take care of myself. I eat regularly and am taking daily vitamins and supplements for anything that I don’t get through daily meals. I am normally a decent person to be around, but this time im pretty sure they were just trying to clear their schedule because of how busy they were. Or at least that’s how I felt leaving here today.
