I have been donating at BioLife for 20+ years and have always been very happy with the service. During high-volume hours there are usually lines, but the staff is always trying hard to provide good customer service. Just recently I was able to assist in training for John and Whitney, and it was a great experience! It took awhile to get going, because they were so busy, but they had me unhooked within a minute of my donation being done.

I’ve had great experiences most times however there’s one girl who’s section I hate sitting in. She isn’t nice to me but when a decent looking dude sits down she’s laughing smiling only checking on them. It’s has happened both times I’ve been in her section. I usually wouldn’t care but when she’s half asking my stuff( last time she hardly even wrapped my arm and I was bleeding all over the place another nurse had to wrap me up. I don’t exactly feel comfortable with that kind of person being around me or my blood ‍♀️

I am a donor at the Eau Claire, WI facility. The staff is wonderful, they explain in detail, things you should and should avoid before and after donating. I have donated at another facility, that did not explain details. My experience here in Eau Claire,WI, was very good, I am very comfortable giving at this center.

Staff is always relatively friendly, accommodating, and responsive if I have any questions. I have it lucky that I have an easy to find vein and have not had an issue with missed pokes, I know not everyone has it so easy. Wait times can be long at times but I don’t mind.

Don’t expect your appointment to be even close to actual appointment and the nurse lied to the manager right in front of me and I called her out and the manager diddnt belive me. They have inexperienced staff that will poke you unsuccessfully 2 or 3 times at least every other visit and I have very good veins.

They will do basically anything to avoid paying you the amount promised. My first appointment they told me a maximum of 2 hours. They then had me wait for half an hour before I was even seen initially and then didn’t have a chair for me in the back like they said, causing me to be late for a work meeting that was well over the 2 hour mark from my initial appointment time. My next appointment they decided to cancel on me because of “AC issue”, which I know was fake because I called not even half an hour afterwards and they’re like oh it’s been working people are donating right now. The last straw was when they called me to tell me that because I have mild seasonal allergies I have to get another blood draw and wait 7 days before I could donate again, putting my last appointments for the coupon well over the range given. They then refused to give me an extension despite them initially cancelling on ME. It’s a shame so many people in hospitals are sick and can’t get the plasma they need when they treat donors like this. So much for saving lives.

I have been donating at BioLife for close to 20 years. I’ve had a few employees that I’ve had issues with, but believe it or not they never last long and I’ve never had to say anything. They have very strict politics and procedures because they deal with the medical field. If you’re bruised in the donation area of your arm you can’t donate, iron is too low, pulse too high, protein too low, BP too high, you can’t donate. That’s to keep YOU safe and unharmed. The questionnaire before you donate is to keep already sick people safe.

Staff is great but often there isn’t near enough and an hour process takes 1.5 to 2 which is pretty frustrating.
