My regular time to donate is about 7:30 a.m.. It’s honestly hit or miss for the efficiency of the appointment. I know BioLife may struggle with a reduced staff, but they do the best they can to make my visit as quick as possible. I have a difficult vein to “stick,” but the phlebotomists call in help when needed. I find the experience to be a positive one– it’s great to see familiar faces when donating– whether employees or donors!

The money is good, most people are super friendly but the wait can be ridiculous!! I waited 2 hours to get he donation started. Many times making me late for work recently planning as I only waiting an hour to start the process. When is the most frustrating is the management or nurses not helping but rather talking about non work stuff. They should be about helping set up the bottles and tubes or gathering supplies to ensure a smoother and faster experience. Either the rest of the team needs to step up or there needs to be less appointments available (there was 6 spots available for this hour)

Normally I have a pretty good experience. There have been a few times where I’ve been there longer than 2 hours which is frustrating when you have other appointments or plan your day around donating. This last time tho, I had heard there was a “ meeting” that required a lot of the floor staff/ managers to leave very little help for this that were left .workers were stressed, patients were upset. It can be frustrating when it feels like your time isn’t valuable. I understand meetings need to happen, but make sure you are staffed appropriately then to accommodate the schedule

I’ve about given up on this place. The workers have always been friendly and done fine. The management side seems to overextend. Started again after a year wait, and first couple times went well. Those were early on weekends. Went during the week and it was a nightmare. I waited for 45 minutes past my appointment time to get a chair the first time. Went in again and left as this time after my survey there were 16 people in line waiting to get their screening, before they even got in line for the chair. There were another 8 or 9 over there. If I make a 730 appointment on a week day after work, i’d like to not wait until 815 to get started. Stop making so many appointments if you can’t get them out in a timely manner. An employee told me that management overbooks because they have done a good job. They are expected to put someone in a chair every 4 minutes. I’ve also seen people sit and wait for 20 minutes to get disconnected after they are done because of staff getting everyone hooked up. Just understaffed and overbooked money grab at this point. It was good money when it was convenient. If you have time go ahead, but if you are planning on 70 to 90 minutes good luck.

Great friendly people. I’ve been turned away a couple times before but with the help of the staff I was able to donate. My heart rate is usually high due to my nervousness and Jackie went above and beyond with helping me calm down while she took my vitals.

Today was my first time back at Biolife after three years, the staff was very nice but the wait times were terrible, I had an appointment at 1:10 pm and I wasn’t hooked up to a machine until around 3, this location is severely understaffed. In addition during my donation process my machine started reading “high blood pressure return” and no one came to address the message for around 30 minutes of it happening, when I finally saw some one and was able to notify them she told me she would be there in a minute, came back, started touching the machine and my arm and in a second I all of a sudden started feeling like I was going to black out and as soon as I could tell her I apparently did. The staff was very sweet with me about what had happened but I feel that I shouldn’t have been left that long with that message on my machine without being and to get it addressed until half an hour lapsed of it being up. I will no longer be using Biolife and will be trying to find a center that has enough staffing to accommodate it’s volume of patients and be more attentive.

Been coming here for two years, always friendly, clean, and staff try to assist with questions. Yes, there may be a long wait; but I always allow for a 3 hour window. The staff here do their best to keep up, but then again they give each individual their undivided attention if an issue arises – which if I were having issues I would want that too – vs rushing and just herding us through.

The process is smooth. There can be a wait (to get vitals checked and for the process itself) but the people there are doing the best they can. If there are issues or if you have questions at any time they will come over and answer your questions quickly. Everyone is polite and always have a smile.

Its a fantastic place to donate. I’ve rarely had any issues with the actual donation process. in that aspect its absolutely a 5* place to donate. When it comes to calling for ANY reason, good luck getting a hold of anybody. I’ve called 10 times over the past 2 days to try to see if my test results came in, so i can start donating again, to no answer, and i’d rather not drive all the way out there just to be told I still can’t donate. Every other aspect is an easy 5*, the people are friendly, the process is easy, and its a good experience. Not being able to get a hold of anybody when it comes to important things that literally stop me from donating, is the only reason its lower.

I have gone here since 2020 and unfortunately I have to use an entirely new arm after my incident I had a couple weeks ago. Had a newer tech poke me incorrectly. She also poked everyone else incorrectly and the supervisors were checking every single one she did. Next thing I know I’m swelling like a balloon bad, I’m telling the lady that I’m swelling. Instead of her even stopping the machine, she yells for someone and continues to hook someone up. 15 mins go by, still hooked up, and my arm is the size of a balloon. It wasn’t the supervisors fault for running behind, he seemed like the only one on the floor. I had a HUGE black bruise that finally just went away. It’s been 3-4 weeks, my arm is still extremely sore, my vein still
