Top-notch team! From the minute you walk in the door. The morning team at front of house is always on the ball (Jonathan, Diane, Elle, Madison), and the tech team in the back. They’re all wonderful, but my personal favorites are Abbie, Patti, Erin, Lizzy, Ryan…too many to list! And Nurse Abbie is SO kind and understanding!

It is always something here. Some of the staff is wonderful and some are always looking for a reason not to let you donate. Some are even rude to the other staff. I have a long drive to get here. Second time in 1 week I’ve made the 35 minute drive for them to tell me a silly reason I cannot donate.. that’s money coming out of my pocket to get here, just to be told to go back empty handed. Every time I come here I’m in a great mood, and I usually leave very disappointed.

Came in this morning and was greeted by Danyell, she was very friendly and just overall satisfied with her service! Definitely a Star employee!

usually not a problem but whoever is running the green team today would rather sit around and make friends than assist with the people who have needles in their arms…. my husband sat there for twenty minutes after the machine was done while the nurses just sat there laughing and talking! he had to take the needle out of his arm himself

The staff really took the time to make sure I understood each step of donation! Each person I interacted with was super helpful and kind!

The majority of the beds were empty yet I sat in my bed waiting to get hooked up while I watched people stand around and talk. It is one thing to wait awhile to get hooked up when it’s busy and a lot of people are getting seated in beds, but when there are only 2 or 3 people in a section and 2 of them are already hooked up and you still have to wait over 20 min to get hooked up because people are standing around talking rather than hooking someone up that is ridiculous. Very frustrated . My time is important too. Please be curious of people’s time and hook the. Up in a timely manner if you can. Will not return here will go back to West DesMoines far more courteous of people’s time.

Usually pretty good, but half the time you end up waiting in line for an hour because they don’t have enough sections open or are offering too many appointments.

Stay away. Employees apathy is unbelievable. Common sense is non-existent here. Condescending staff are incredibly frustrating. No respect for donors or their time. Just a bad experience all around.

Recently it seems as if the appointments are way more than the facility can handle. Lines have been much longer than the “normal” long lines. Waiting tonight (3/28/23, appointment was scheduled for 5) is about an hour just for the first line. Then maybe that amount of time again for second line to get to give plasma is ridiculous for a donation. I know they may be short staffed (staff are all very nice), but they mostly always have 2 sections not open. Since this is the “norm” when I come, not sure why there are so many donors. I have been told by staff that many nights they work until 11 or later to get the last donor done. Since last week the lines have been longer than I have seen before.

The staff was amazing this morning. I was in and out of my appointment within 40 minutes. I realize this doesn’t happen every time, but I wanted to give them a quick shout out for a job well done.
