I would be happy to give more stars. But they would have to staff up at this location. Most of the staff is great, a couple of the staff in the donor area seem distant and so slow. Others are extremely efficient, I always hope I get them! Today, it is extremely understaffed. Appt time 9:30, it is now 9:55…still in line to be checked in, with 5 ahead of me.

I went in for a donor appointment at 6:10pm. I didn’t leave until 8:22pm. While I was there I observed that they were incredibly short staffed. Ally was my phlebotomy and she was very kind and all over the place as bo other techs would assist her. They were so busy they had to open up the orange section while I was there. I sat in my donor chair at 7pm. I didn’t get going with my donation until about 7:15pm. When I was finished (7:45), There were multiple techs in the area but still left me in the chair with a needle in my arm until 8:15. Meanwhile my machine is going off, giving the signal that I had finished. Ally asked for some help from the tall blonde, who was working in the pink section. The tall blonde told her,amd I quote, “I’m sorry I’ve got my own section.” There was no teamwork.i had watched people who sat down after me, finish after me, get unhooked amd released long before I did. This is a very poorly ran center. I was also I formed that three people quit, two of them on the spot and the other one gave a notice, as well as one person getting fired. This is very unacceptable for a donation center. I sat with a very large needle in my arm for so long, that I began to have pain on the outer side of my arm. I cannot begin to describe how badly I felt for Ally, having asked for help twice, only to be told from the people she was asking for help from had their own sections. Mind you, this girls section was almost full. Pink section where rude blonde was at only had 2 people who were still donating at that point and she was turned down for simply asking for help. ive seen hospital emergency rooms more chaotic and being ran better by the staff than this place. If it helps to know when and where this took place, it was September 26 at the Hollamd location on James Street. Also, if corporate plans on making these ladies work until all donors are out the door and letting more donors come in until closing time, they may want to hire more staff and figure out what they are doing wrong that is making staff want to quit! I’m very appaled and will not be donating again. $40 is not worth the headache!

Just came in for a first time donation, staff was extremely helpful and did so with a smile on their faces even with the place packed. Booked an appointment online after checking availability around their other locations, made an account and just showed up to check in. Process is very straightforward and they explain all the steps in great detail. Be sure to eat well and stay hydrated prior.

Absolutely a joke. Took my heart rate before I went in, was 88. Went in and they said it was 105 which means I could not donate. Sat in a chair for 20 minutes and then they said it was 121. Took my heart rate when I got to my truck, it was 92. This was my second donation time. This place is a joke.

This place sucks don’t waste ur time, they also tell u to eat then turn u away, it’s a waste of time, save ur own life now a days not to a place that is for lock downs and lies

Everyone is friendly and professional. It is clean and I only had to wait a small amount in line. They slowed my donation down for better tolerance for me.

I am a long time donor that came from the Grandville Biolife and was so excited for the Holland location to open. After waiting a while for this location to work out the bugs I feel I have to leave this review to get someone’s attention. This facility is SO frustrating. Almost every single employee seems to only focus on one single task where at the Grandville facility everyone helps each other to get donors out the door faster. I almost lose my mind when I’m waiting to be unhooked and employees are standing around doing nothing, not helping because it’s not the task they’re assigned to. On top of that, many of the employees move so very slow, theres no sense of urgency. Every Holland Employee should have to spend a week at the Grandville location to see how it’s done.

THINGS TO KNOW: The days I visited, it usually took 2 hours or 2 hours and 15 minutes instead of the 1 hour or 1 hour and 30 minutes they advertised. To reply to Katie’s review, its not a matter of the workers productivity, the facility just isn’t built to handle such a high volume of people. I would wait perhaps a couple of months for things to die down, and if they don’t simply look for another facility. On my first visit, I came at 1:00 pm but left at near 5 or 6 pm. So be advised folks and make sure you don’t have any errands to run. The facility is clean, but it is understaffed with a high volume of people going in and out.

This service here isn’t the problem it’s the lack of organization and attention to detail. Waited 90 minutes (which is fine I know that it just opened and they’re busy) just to get my physical and when I got there they delete my entire questionnaire and all work I had for the past 2 hours up to that point. $25 for the next 2 visits doesn’t do anything for the time that I waste having to go in again and do the exact same thing and hope that they do it correctly the next time.
