As you can see this clinic barely has anyone working here. I don’t know what’s wrong with the hiring management but they need to either hire more people or close down. Theirs only 5 phlebotomist on the floor at a time which means three full sections are empty with no phlebotomist on duty or donors being assisted. The lines goes around the whole clinic and all I see is the people who work here laughing, giggling, and taking breaks.

Hi! I’ve been donating here regularly for a month or two. I do like donating as it provides another income for me besides working. It’s best to come here on a day you’re off and to simply come in early enough that you deem fit. There’s normally a very long wait so it’s advisable to not come in around when your appointment is set. So I personally suggest coming early to get the vitals and survey done.

99% of the time I’ve been here the waiting time is around 2,5 hours. There are some really nice techs but the system is a mess. There is not planning nor efficiency. More than 25 people waiting, some of them for around 4 hours and only 2 techs. Nurse standing on the front looking at everybody but not helping at any station, other lady (I guess in training) just standing there without doing anything at all. Only one tech taking vitals. Most of stations are empty and instead of having a systemic way to operate, they are just mind limited.

The first appointment is definitely a long one. But for $100 it’s worth it. 3 hour process so it’s like getting paid $35/hour. Ashley was so helpful and nice. Toby made donating such a breeze. Candace also does painless sticks.

I’ve never felt so discriminated against. For someone who manages their bipolar disorder this company is a huge insult. Despite being on medications (none of which were listed as red flags) and seeing both a psychiatrist and psychologist on the regular (for over 5 years now), I was instantly rejected from donating. Again, this had nothing to do with my medications, none of which were on the rejection list. I was denied simply because I had a “psychiatric disorder” and I would continue to be blocked from donating until I had a form filled out by my healthcare provider (not myself). As if to add insult to injury, the form asks things like, if I can be trusted to give an accurate description of my medical history, if I am competent enough to understand the procedure and potential side effects, and if I have a legal guardian. I am a full grown adult woman with a master’s degree. Additionally, for those of you who have never donated before, this was the last step of the donation evaluation, I had spent 40 minutes prior to this “evaluation” filling out a questionnaire that had me confirm my medical history and my understanding of the procedure and it’s side effects. Despite this, I was still asked to provide proof of my competency and ability to provide an accurate description of my medical history just because I am diagnosed bipolar. Proof that I could not provide for myself, proof that had to come from a doctor.

Been donating here off and on for several years and the wait times are HORRIBLE. This morning I have been in the facility for over an hour and have spent the entire time in line waiting just to be screened. They are clearly short staffed and have never fixed that problem. The employees OBVIOUSLY drag their feet and move slowly and while there are 20+ people in line there is sometimes only one person performing screenings. Donating plasma should take 1-2 hours total for the visit, visits at this location frequently take 3-4 hours even in non peak hours just because of wait times.

I’m black, and I grew up in the projects. But as I grew up, I got some business about myself.

I am a new donor. My first visit which was supposed to take 2 hours took 4 hours. Lots of waiting in the lobby. My 3rd visit I brought my children with me and was informed that I could not have my children(8 and 10) in the lobby while I donated. I’m a single mom and can’t afford to pay a babysitter to watch my kids for this. Then today for my 6th donation I was able to get a friend to watch my kids. Church ran a little late and traffic was slow on I-85 so I was 13 minutes late for my 1pm appt. When I tried to sign in the computer said I didn’t have an appt. When I went to the desk the staff informed me for the first time that you only have a 10 minute grace period and then your appt is canceled!! They are unable to override the computer system. Also, be informed that you cannot sign in early. You literally have 10 minutes available to sign in. So, if this is the case then why do most visits run longer than the scheduled time? Why do they not make you aware of these restrictions ahead of time. A 1 hour trip is a long drive to not be able to donate. It’s just not worth my time for the money you receive. So, after 5 of 8 donations I am done. I’m hoping my review will let others know what to not do.

I went in to donate this morning and noticed how busy it was. I figured the line would at least live but after 20 minutes it had only moved up one person. I had to be at work in two hours so I explained my situation to an employee asked if it would still work if I rescheduled to later in the day. She said it would still work and I could reschedule. However when I came back a different employee told me I couldn’t because I had already done my questions. This employee was very sweet and went and asked around for me before telling me I couldn’t. I have to drive really out of the way to get here so it wasted a lot of time. Please make sure your employees don’t give false information like that again.

So impressed. The staff here is so kind, comforting, and attentive. Cherrie and Myah are absolute sweethearts and amazing at their jobs. After reading some negative reviews I was a bit apprehensive, but I assure you that this place is nothing short of amazing and there is absolutely nothing to be worried about. Come donate here and get paid to save lives. They have gained a new regular here! Thank you to all the staff and Biolife for a great experience!
