Very well organized and clean. The first day I went in and gave a blood sample to be sent to a lab. I also gave a sample for them to test at that faculty. My protein read 6.3. Gave plasma that day and two more times with no problems Then I received a call saying that the lab came back with 5.8. I talked to the nurse there that said the lab and there machines were both calibrated. I said if so they should read the same. She didn’t get it. No one has offered a legitimate answer or test results to me. There are reasons why HIPAA Laws exists.

I have been to all the plasma centers on the peninsula and this one is hands down the best place! First you must have an appointment. This is an excellent practice because it eliminates long lines and you don’t have to wait a couple of hours to be screened only to be told your blood pressure is too high or your proteins too low. This practice also prevents staff from picking and choosing whom they take next. This place is CLEAN, ORGANIZED & EFFICIENT! The staff appear well-trained and seem to love their job which makes for a pleasant atmosphere. The donation itself was a little slower (maybe 10 minutes) but the tech explained they slow the process because it’s better for your body. I usually felt weak after donating at the other two plasma centers even after eating a meal and rehydrating but three hours after that donation with water and a light snack, I still feel fine. I just can’t say enough positive things about this place! THEY EVEN HAVE DAYCARE (I don’t need it but for those who do).

I’m close to completing my new donor period here. It was my first ever donation experience and I thought it was really good! I’ve had issues with small veins before, so I was nervous, but everyone has been pretty good at sticking me without issue. Seth, in particular, has done an excellent job each time! Staff is friendly and laughs at my jokes, which is nice.

Probably one of the most sterile, clean, professional plasma donation centers I’ve ever donated to. The staff is attentive, very understanding, I never see any sketchy people in there like usual when u go to centers. The nurses and technicians are on point and awesome! I just moved to Norfolk but I still make the commute because it’s just that worth it with the services they provide. Thank you Biolife Hampton!!❤️

Great staff they play good music & the plasma pumping process is relaxing . They make sure your not in pain . The app is great for appointment scheduling & you can see your cash balance on their too . Heck they sent me a coupon to come back letting me get extra cash for my first donation of the week . They serve goldfish snacks to new donors as well. Cool spot to help people in need & get a lil money for your own life.

I really love the fact that it’s by appointment and most of the staff is super friendly and amazing. I have sent 4 people there and none of them have been able to donate for various reasons. I also hate that they get you in the door with great promotions but then as the weeks go on the payout gets less and less. At least at my old place they had real promotions to get you more money the more regular you are.

I started out here as the first time donor and was really glad in the beginning as everyone seemed really nice. The facility is clean and organized, and I like that you have to set appointments and it’s usually very timely. However, a little into my second month I’ve noticed a change in staff, encountering impatience, rudeness, and attitude. It could be that in the beginning I was coming in the morning and the atmosphere was more relaxed versus coming in the late afternoon / evening where it seems unfriendly.

Rearranged my whole schedule to come today to donate. I had a full meal, brought my DL and SS card, as requested. Due to marriage, my last name is different on my SS card, so I couldn’t donate. They should have told me that the day before when they called to make sure I knew what I needed to bring. I could have brought my marriage license, instead the woman was snooty with me about it.

Front end staff and nurses are great. Most technicians are good but God help you if you get one that is in a bad mood or close to getting off work. One stuck the needle through the vein and gave me a hematoma that lasted weeks. Last one did not secure the tube properly (not taped correctly and not tucked around arm pad) which came loose and covered me in blood. Now because of “failed returns” I am unable to donate for 8 weeks. I won’t be returning anyways.
