The screening went smooth and quick. The staff on the floor were working fast and efficiently. There have been times when they are really short staffed which makes the donation time too long. On 9-27-23 my visit was probably 75 minutes. The current staff are amazing and do the best they can with what they’ve got. I’ve see. Lot of staff come and go in just a year. Corporate needs to do better by their employees to retain the best.

This is a great place to donate plasma and get some extra cash. I use it to get cash for my out-of-pocket medical, herbal expenses. You need to be in good shape, and it takes about an hour and a half. I am vegan, so it is easy to meet the protein and iron levels requirement. I go twice a week, and it is not too invasive or painful. Drink 4 quarts of water before coming, and the first visit might take 2 hours or more. The subsequent visits are quicker. The staff is nice, and the app is easy to use. I highly recommend Biolife Services, especially the Riverdale, Maryland location.

I feel the wait is too long considering you have to make an appointment and they are always under staffed which makes the employees their overworked and can’t give you their best. The group of employees that are working there are amazing and have a beautiful spirt and I can tell they enjoy what they do but are worn out do to lack of support. Giving is a blessing and a company like this should always be staffed and clean. The bathrooms are not kept up properly and break down often which should never happen since there are only 2. The computers you log into are always broken down and most often there are only 2 operational. Please take what I am saying as something that is urgent and must be taken care of or you will continue to loose donors.

This is the dumbest/careless place I’ve ever seen in my whole life. They are so lazy omg. They gonna invent the craziest reason to avoid you from donating just so they have to deal with less people. They send you to check your vein and I was in the line and they were checking people for 5s then they would say the vein wasn’t good enough in order to donate. I was there to donate the second time and they didn’t allow me to because I had to prove my address. I live on campus of my Uni so I brought letters from the school to prove I live there and they still didn’t let me in. So stupid. I brought so many things, some issued by government and others from the school and they still said I wasn’t enough. They are a joke. I still don’t have the things they asked because I just moved to college so things like bank statement still take a month to update on the new address. This is what frustrates me. I prepared during the whole day to come here. Eating and drinking a lot. I asked my coach (I’m a soccer player) for a day off on practice just so I could come here and then after all of that I was just rejected by this stupid policies that make no sense. This place is horrific. Why they gotta be so strict with proving address. I used documents (to prove my address) that allowed me to get in America but these same ones can’t get me in Bio Life . They take advantage of all of us as they know the ones that come here are financially unstable and depend on this to be able to survive. They know we rely on them, thus they will treat us like trash as they know we will always come back anyways.

I had a 1010 appointment this morning. I showed up properly, I did my computer check in, and then I waited. For 40 minutes until I was seen by the person taking vitals. There was only one person taking vitals.

This place is very professional and I highly recommend when coming as a new donor to the plasma community to come here. Most of the staff are wonderful and Tamera the front receptionist is very awesome at her job and that’s why I love coming back but the only downfall is the time u wait inside u can be up there anywhere between 1-3 hours. But great place overall

I usually go to the Baltimore National Pike location but the Riverdale location is open Mondays and is closer to my work. I was nervous to go because of all the negative reviews. I booked in the app and arrived a few minutes early for my 1:35pm appointment. There was only 1 person in the computer to check in. There was one person in line for screening and one person being screened. After finishing the check in questions I probably waited 5 minutes for the initial health screening. Then I went to the donor waiting area where I waited about 5 minutes to get called for a chair. Once I got to a chair/bed I waited about 20-30 mins in the chair/bed to be hooked up to the machine. There were 4 employees working but not all of them were on the floor hooking up or unhooking donors. I was hooked up around 2:12pm for my 1:35pm appointment time. I was finished donating (800 ml) by 2:55pm and unhooked and taped up by 2:58pm.

It was a better experience than the days that the process is ridiculously slow. But I understand the fact that you are understaffed and machines often experience technical issues. I just wish there was a way to counter this. All of that said, this visit things moved smoother than other visits.

the site was overbooked, donors outnumbered staff 5:1. the professionalism, patience and camaraderie was impressive. Everyone at that site deserves a $5/hr. raise! I commend Nalisa, Nashea, Antonio and the young lady with the big ole fleshtone plugs in her ears (never saw that before, nice.) unfortunately the energetic upbeat manager wasn’t there ( my fav.) bree or bri ? Keep up the Gr8 wrk!

I’ve only been a donor for a month or so, but haven’t experienced any of the issues I’ve read about. My only complaint is the scanner used to sign in and out never seems to want to work for my finger. That’s frustrating. Staff should be able to override the system and accept responses. Nurses on the floor are professional and if you engage them in conversation, they seem happy to talk and joke with you.
