My first time ever donating and the whole experience was fantastic. Everyone there is so extremely nice and helpful, from the front desk, to the nurses/drs who do the physical, to the people on the floor while donating. It just makes it an easy and fun process. It helps me and I get to help others by donating. Thank you all so so much. I highly recommend them!

This has been the worse experience I’ve ever had donating in 4 years. The nurse was very un-professional..the staff treated me and my family as an out-cast & I feel discriminated against. If this is how PEOPLE Or other ethnic students get treated here..this is terrible especially for Penn State /state college people that go here to donate. If you’re donating, definitely go to other places where it’s professional & a safe & friendly environment. It’s not worth losing your health.I pray nobody else has to go through this painful experience. I guess they hire anybody these days to stick people with needles because they’re short-staffed & don’t care about other’s safety.

First time ever being here. Staff was FANTASTIC, super friendly and very helpful with any questions I had. I was checked on multiple times and they were very thorough with the process and explaining things to me. I will be coming back!

Tbh it seemed kind of janky at first the way the employees were acting. But I have had no problems with anything after visiting twice a week for over a month. It seems daunting at first with the amount of warnings about donating but it’s very easy and nearly painless.

I just started donating recently because friend referred me. He hasn’t received his referral bonus yet and I have donated 6 times. I have asked them on numerous occasions about it and I am being told they will take care of it. Unfortunately they are very short staffed and it always takes about 3 hours to get through the process every time. It’s not even worth referring anyone if they can’t keep their word and honor the referral bonus. The screeners are not very polite either. Anyhow I don’t believe I will be coming back when the bonus period is over. Ked Plasma is more consistent with their clients and way more friendly. Also they are on top of making sure people get paid.

If I could give zero stars I would. Started donating with the promotion $850 for 8 donations in a 4 week time period. Donated 4 times and they needed to test my blood AGAIN, even though they tested me when I first denoted and everything came back good. I went 5 days after this second testing, to just be turned away, due to my results never came in.

I went to donate for the first time today. Everyone was so nice from the moment I walked in the door. I felt comfortable and welcomed! My body didn’t react well (which i knew was a possibility) and ALL of the staff (ESPECIALLY SUZANNE BECCA AND APRIL) were very responsive, helpful, professional, and made me very comfortable in a scary situation.

Friendly staff but can have excessive wait times. If you plan on doing this often expect to get deferred semi-often too, which can be annoying.

I have been going to BioLife to donate plasma for 5 years. The staff is always kind and courteous. I wouldn’t think of going anywhere else to donate.

I came to BioLife for the first time on 11/23/22 after hearing about it from a friend. I have an uncle in stage four kidney failure and I wanted to donate my kidney however, I did not meet the criteria to be Donor for him. I thought donating plasma would be an alternative option to help save someone’s life. The first visit was just as expected although while donating, blood started running down my arm. Not sure if something was not connected correctly or why it happened. They had to end my donation early. They acted as though it was fine and didn’t say anything about possible bruising. I scheduled my second donation for 11/28/22. I Arrived and got signed in. It was during the pre-screening that they saw the bruising on my arm from the first donation and said that I would not be able to donate. I explained that I bruise easily and what had happened at the first donation and that may have had something to do with the bruising however they still deferred me and I drove an hour and a half there to be turned away. I have to be honest that I was irritated because I was not told about the bruising being a possible deferring reason. I was hoping to use the other arm anyway but was denied. I left there and scheduled another donation two days later. However, the bruising was still on my arm the morning of so I tried to call the center to talk to somebody about the bruising and the phone service said that the office was closed however it was not. So I canceled last minute. Everybody was very friendly and very nice and I hope that the rest of my experience there is very positive. I’m just a little upset that I most likely will not get to meet the eight donations within the 30 day period for the promotion that I currently have. I went into this process as a way to try to help save lives since I wasn’t able to donate an organ to a family member. Thanks for being there available for people to donate!
