You’d think that they would make it more easy to donate. The hours that they have make it so so difficult to donate if you have a regular schedule like a normal person throughout the week it’s almost impossible, since they don’t take people during the weekends unless it’s a specific donation type.

I donate platelets because they are so needed and it gives me a chance to help several people at a time. It only takes a little over two hours of my time. Plus I get to watch a movie! The staff is welcoming, knowledgeable and kind. Sarah, Tochina, Lori and Susan are the best.

I have been coming here for three years. Always make an appt and still have to wait over 35 min. Staff playing games on the computer and two to three people just talking. Last time I come. To bad redcross.

I feel the need to share Red Cross selfishness !!. The past 7 yrs I have religously donated blood. Never have I encountered the following else where in our country!!!! Having just relocated to Bend & with all of the shootings going on I figured I had better donate ASAP. Arrive for my first scheduled appointment. The intake gal who does the temp, blood pressure etc. informed me my pulse was (ALWAYS has been) 48 (50 is required in order to donate). I questioned as to why. I was told ” Red Cross allots 20 mimutes for each donation”. I take 17-20 minutes depending on how much fluid I consume prior to donation. I was unable to donate. I am so angry because of their selfishness!!!! They are there to help the community. So what if I could of possibly of taken 23 mimutes. I was denied by not only the intake person but the Director after he was contacted. What an absolute shame.

This place is awesome. I give blood here frequently and they always make sure to make you feel comfortable. They can do all types of blood draws and a lady on their makes fresh cookies and brownies for donators. I always choose this place over any other to donate.

I have donated 71 pints of blood! Not once has anyone missed my obvious veins. However, the turnover in Bend struck me as odd, left me with some questions. Well, pint 72 never left my vein as the person missed my vein , jiggled and probed and still missed, I got sweaty, felt bad as she couldn’t figure it out.
