Honesty Harmonizes
Staff ( Gladys, especially ) repeatedly have been massively unreliable, rude, passive aggressive & dismissive! Multiple times i confirmed my first appointment time and told them its essential its confirmed and reliable because I’m going in for surgery in a few weeks and can only do those dates. I was confirmed for the first session at specific date & time. And my surgeons assistant had also already contacted them to make sure they know my blood draws are priority status due to needing them for my upcoming cardiac surgery.

I’ve donated platelets twice here now and it has become my new preferred donation center. The staff were all very kind and welcoming. The techs are exceptional at making sure you’re as comfortable as possible before, during and after the donation.

I donated whole blood today, what a disappointment. Worst blood donation visit I’ve ever had. I’m 65 and been donating blood all my life. Unqualified tech did my blood draw, she was totally lost. I almost just got up and left, now I wish I would have. I have a HUGE bruise on my arm with swelling. Not to mention visit took twice as long as it should have. Girl next to me came in 15 minutes after me and finished her donation 15 minutes before me. Just really disappointed that they can have totally unqualified staff take care of their blood donation volunteers. I will not be going back to the Pleasant Hill donation center. If I could give this place a zero rating I would.

Got a bruise on my arm nearly a week later after a failed platelets and plasma donation. My arm swelled up like a golf ball so they stopped immediately but it’s almost a week later and now I’m starting to bruise on my bicep. They tried to blame it on my not eating enough but I only felt sick after they took the needles out. I will not be coming here again.

The best Red Cross!! I’ve come here twice now so far and I drive ALL the way from San Francisco because I love this location so much, especially the phlebotomist Vicky she is the best!! Everyone is nice there though and I’ve never had any problems so I don’t know why it has such a low rating. People always have to complain about something!! I did a regular blood donation and a Power Red donation. I can’t donate plasma because my blood type is O+ but that’s ok I don’t mind. They have good snacks too and a parking lot. I tried to post my pictures and videos but it’s not working!! ♀️

My husband and I, made appointments twice to donate blood and both times in the morning of our appointment ( less than an hour to our scheduled time) they called and said they are understaffed and wanted us to cancel our appointments.

I personally wouldn’t even give this donation center a whole star I recently went and waited 2 hours to donate my blood and my boyfriend recently went after me to donate plasma and they denied his blood saying they were an hour behind and wouldn’t be able to fit him in nor reschedule him the staff are rude and slow half the time none of them are working they’re just standing around taking to each other the place is non hygienic and looks to be ran down. I will never be visiting this donation center again and I would advise everyone to go to a different center to give blood.
