There’s a blood shortage right now and I wanted to help by donating. I arrived at my appointment time and was put in a room. I signed up for whole blood, not plasma and someone came in and was checking my arms for plasma so I told her I was just doing blood. Then a guy came in and said it would be a 30 min wait, even though it wasn’t busy at all. I waited 30 mins then ended up leaving and not donating sadly.

I have an appt for platelets tomorrow morning @ 11am. Unfortunately I broke my kneeecap several days ago and have been taking aspirin for the pain. I will have to cancel this appt and will reschedule as soon as I resume some mobility.
