I concur with the review (Lauren G.). Nothing has changed. I wish I had left without donating. I have communicated my concerns via ARC customer service (telephone) and in person. The follow up related to my observations and experience has been poor. Apheresis equipment malfunctioned during my donation. I actually did not feel safe at one point. There are multiple concerns to be addressed. Unfortunately, I will not be donating platelets again nor recommending to anyone to do so, at least at this fixed site location.

Went to donate platelets for the first time, but left without donating due to the state of the building. It was dirty and run down. No one greeted me when I walked in or assisted me. It was hard to find the entrance. I wanted to donate but didn’t feel safe doing it there.

They sent me so many notification to remind for donation, and I reached there 10 mins late trying to figure out the location( they had changed the main entrance for donation) , they told they wouldn’t take me because I was 5 mins over the cut off time!! I told them I had also finished the rapid pass which would save time on initial process, so don’t know if 5 mins was important or saving someone’s life by using the blood was.

Everyone is very nice and professional. I think that their schedule needs to be more open, as when blood is needed do bad. When the products are low and with the CVC guide lines are in place, the center should be open for more days.
