Due to unforeseen circumstances I ended up being 7 minutes late to my appointment. The technician that approached me informed me that there is only a 5 minute grace period so they would not be accepting my donation today. I understand that I was a few minutes late (I get it) but I had already completed the rapid pass ahead of time, the techs just did not want to spend the time to conduct the health questionnaire, per her response.

The people here are great! I donate here regularly and have been treated respectfully by all the professional staff. Five stars all the way around!

My first rating is not very good. I tried to give, arrived early for appointment, was ready to go and people showed up after their times and all decided to go in front of me. Hope it will go smoother next time.

Donated for the first time in a long time and I’m glad I picked this location. Staff were knowledgeable and kind throughout my whole donation. There are even new exercises to help prevent dizziness while donating which I was very thankful for. Process was quick and I will be donating again .

I had an appointment at 2pm and got helped at 2:05pm. There were MANY people donating today and not enough staff so I was surprised I didn’t have to wait that long. They were very nice to me and I was out at 3:30pm. You think you’re there to donate blood but you’re also donating some of your time. I recommend bringing your phone or a book. Will come back again 🙂

I only waited about 10 minutes. The staff was so caring and friendly. I passed out after donating and ended up having to stay after they closed to wait for a ride home and they could not have been more kind.

I’ve been donating with the Red Cross for years. I showed up at the last appointment for the day. The woman doing my intake seemed very rushed and insisted on completing my medical questionnaire herself. She asked several times if I was sick because my temperature was 98.9F. She then tried to defer me for a year because of a tiny cut on my finger. After stating my iron was a bit high, she asked if a doctor had ever mentioned it. I said one had many years ago. She then told me I was permenantly deferred because I should be receiving therapeutic blood drains (which I have never been told by any medical professional) and was not allowed to donate because “people that need therapeutic drains may lie in order to donate”.

It was my Second time donating blood ever. I had planned to arrive at 5 pm, they close at 7 pm. I got stuck in an hour of traffic, and got there at 615, at this point I had been driving non-stop for an hour and a half to get there in time. I walked in and was’t even greeted. The lady at the front counter looked at me, looked at the clock, sighed, and said “I don’t think they’ll take you, let me check” I proceeded to sign in and get ready, to not waste any time, she said they would take me. So when it was my turn to get tested to see if I was capable of donating the Nurse told me “You’re lucky. We don’t normally take people this late.” And I said “I’m sorry, should I go?” She said “No, we don’t want you to go. We want you to come early and make an appointment.”

Because I passed out while donating blood 1x in the past 30 years of blood donations and blood tests, they will not take my blood. Absolutely completely 100% ridiculous!
