The location is clean and the staff is extremely polite and professional. They are always asking if you’re comfortable in the process of giving blood. Snacks, Coffee, and Drinks are always in stock.

I am going to edit my previous 3 star review. As I said, I would go back and give them one more chance. I’m so happy I did. I got a lovely woman tonight at 530 pm on 8-16-22. I’m so upset I can’t remember her name, but She was amazing. She explained that I indeed have extremely deep veins but was able to hit it in no time. There was an ever so slight adjustment needed after the initial stick, but it was quick and painless. And just like that she was in and I was able to donate tonight. I’m giving them 5 stars . I would like to use that young lady any and every time I donate. Thanks for getting it right and being so nice!

Shane and Lisa were phenomenal! I am a big baby when it comes to blood and both of them kept me calm and talked to me the entire time! I drove an extra hour out of my way just to go to this donation center. The crew there is amazing!

There is supposedly an emergency-level blood shortage and yet I’ve been sitting in the waiting room (by myself) for more than 30 minutes. What’s the issue guys? We are volunteering – please act like you value our time.

The facility is okay, but it is in the middle of nowhere. I used to donate as soon as I was eligible in the old Birmingham location, generally on Friday morning on the way to work. After the donation center in Birmingham was closed, Caldwell Trace was supposed to replace it. The problem is that it is a long drive from Birmingham, a very long drive from the suburbs North, East, and West of town, and still a pretty long drive from the more central Southern suburbs. As a result I can never give blood on weekdays now, and in fact I almost never have a weekend with so much free time that I can drive to Caldwell Trace to give blood. I assume this move was made for some reason apart from the need to collect blood from donors.

Awesome Red Cross location! Everyone was very nice that I came in contact too! I was not able to give that day because my hemoglobin was too low which upset me a lot. The lady that had done my blood work was so sweet and comforting! She told me how to increase my hemoglobin and tried to get me in a positive mood! That is the second time I’ve been to this location and everybody is always so wonderful and the place is extra clean!

I drive an hour to come to this specific location because of the phenomenal staff!! I’ve known many of them for most of my donor days since beginning in downtown Bham.

Very clean. Good location. Not very welcoming or reassuring and overconfident staff. Know when to turn away a bad vein and know when to stop trying. Never been in this much pain after being stuck.

The staff is fantastic. They go out of their way to make my platelet donations as pleasant an experience as possible.
