The people at the Red Cross are awesome! So friendly and helpful and every single time I have donated there they thank me for my time and generosity. I highly recommend that everyone take some time out of their day to donate and save a life. It’s a real easy thing to do, but means so much to people in need . ❤️

I truly enjoy going here to donate. I love the calm atmosphere and wonderful team. It’s the highlight of my day every time I go. There’s always a smile, some friendly conversation, and something new to watch while I spend my time doing the act of kindness that means so much to me and others.

Go to Weymouth or Dedham. People here are miserable.

Recently I’ve been going in every month to give platelets and plasma. The staff is kind, attentive, and grateful. I’ve stopped watching Netflix at home, and instead wait to watch them here, to give myself something to look forward to.

This was my first time to donate. I chose to donate platelets after having done research. It was a wonderful experience! The staff are so friendly, as are the other donors. I enjoyed hearing their stories. I nearly fell asleep because the chairs are so comfortable. No complaints 🙂

The last time that I donated platelets was in July of 2019 after donating multiple times before that. Prior to this appointment, all of my experiences had been positive. That last time, however, the phlebotomist was new and did not seem confident in placing the catheter in my wrist rather than my forearm, as that was where the best vein was. Long story short is that she did not place the catheter in correctly and I was taken off the apheresis machine after 40 minutes, instead of completing the 2 hours. I did not think much of it at that moment, but about a week later I noticed a bump in that wrist where the needle went in that has persisted ever since. Sometimes my wrist has sharp pains, other times they’re dull, sometimes it feels numb, but overall it has not felt the same since that day that I donated. I used to enjoy working out and now I find myself hesitating because of the pain and weakness in my wrist. I did go back into Red Cross about it and they told me that it was nerve damage and that it would heal by itself. Now, almost a year and a half later, I am struggling to get an MRI (or any other imaging/testing) approved because of it being such a random accident. And because I signed the waiver to donate, I don’t see American Red Cross being eager to help me find answers.

While sitting in the waiting area I and others had clearly overheard the receptionist disrespectfully talking about potential donors especially the young. Two young walkins walked out after that conversation was heard. The Raynham donation center is clean and bright and seems to be very sanitary. My son, who donated, said he had pleasant experience, but I was disappointed to hear such unprofessional conversation in front of patrons.

I donate platelets every 2 or 3 weeks in Raynham. Great staff, very welcoming, fun folk, and very appreciative. This is where I watch most of my movies! I feel very taken care of here, as well as cared for.

The staff at the Raynham location are just the best. Their expertise with needle insertion far exceeds any you will find at local hospitals. So if you have had a bad experience being “pooked” before, please don’t let that stop you from going there to give blood or plasma because these ladies will amaze you.
