I see that my review from February of 2021 was taken down. Like I said previously, the staff here were extremely rude. The CPR instructor named Judy I believe would snap at me everytime I asked a question. When I took my CNA test here, they didn’t mention what time it was until the day before. When I called the lady at the front desk she told me in a snarky tone that I should have checked my email even though a company that makes plenty of profit should be able to let people know what time a test is (and no email was sent to me). One of the ladies also snapped at my grandmother when she tried calling about donating blood. I never leave negative reviews unless the staff is horribly rude, which in this case they were at this specific location. I’m sure my comment will be deleted again.

The staff there make donating blood and other blood products very easy and almost pleasant. They are quite efficient and super friendly. And they always thank you for coming down to donate. They know you’re doing a good thing and they show their appreciation.

Literally told by an angry older lady that they do not need any donations from anyone and that you can’t make an appointment or just walk in while telling me you could do a walk in but they don’t feel like it. The phone number for red cross has people who lie and put you on hold despite there being no way to transfer calls while working from home, according to them at least. They said they no longer want any donations including myself, an O- donor who’s been donating for over a decade. They’ve also shut down all donation drives and will never give anything for donating, not that you’re able to anyways according to most of employees and phone reps I’ve spoken to. They don’t give me anything while I have to go out of my way to go there. I used to donate because it’s a good thing to do, but now that I’ve been told by the lady watching the front door that they don’t want donations and the call center staff confirming this.

I have donated blood and platelets many times in many different places, but I have never felt unsafe doing so until I came here. I rode on two trains to get here because I don’t live near a donor center and I really wanted to help out because they were having a blood shortage. They never asked me if it was alright if a trainee did the procedure, but I picked up on the fact that she was one because she didn’t seem to know what she was doing and someone else was walking her through it with like every step making me unsure if she had actually even touched one of the platelets machines before; when I asked how long those two had been doing it, she said a few days. The needles ended up in the wrong spot, the blood pressure cuff ended up inside out, and the centrifuge door ended up open so after I had sat there for forty minutes, and about five minutes after they initially used the needles, they had to end it and send me away. If you have any desire to be safe and feel safe while donating blood, and actually want to donate, do not go here.

Due to medical reasons, I had to give blood today for the first time, and was very nervous. The staff at this location went above and beyond, in the way they treated me. They made me calm , were so friendly, and really cared about my phobia. Really friendly and caring people. Something you do not always see in today’s world. Thank you.
