They don’t respect your time. They were 30 minutes late for my scheduled appointment even though I arrived 5 minutes early. They also turned me away when my BP was just out of range ( probably because I was angry about having my time wasted).

Made an appointment online and was told on arrival that they were short staffed and I couldn’t be seen. Told me I could reschedule online. Why reschedule? No notification or communication that I would not be seen after driving 30 minutes to donate. Must not need donations as bad as they say. Huge waste of time.

Aside from the one person who greeted me at the door, they had a condescending and very unwelcoming attitude during the check up and basically interrogated me. Felt cornered and unsure of how to answer their questions before they told me to leave rather rudely when they didn’t like my answers nor did they let me speak fully. The staff from two years ago were much more friendly than this batch. What a shame. This would have been my first platelet donation if this disappointment hadn’t happened.

I will be going to other locations or Lifesouth. It has been nothing but a hassle every time I come here. Their hours are inconsistent and do not match what is online. Their appointment scheduling makes no sense. I call the location just for the lady to tell me to call a different 1-800 number and I still was not on their appointment list when I arrived. I also had to update my information again after already being registered since my first donation.

Never again-after waiting almost an hour after my appointment time to give platelets for the very first time, I obviously had someone new who was not being directly supervised. I feel like she hit a nerve instead of my vein. I had to leave without giving platelets because the way she inserted the needle was causing me so much pain and they were going to have to re-stick me in my hand! She didn’t even realize that my vein wasn’t receiving the intake solution Until I complained that it hurt so bad—then someone else noticed. Two hours later my upper arm is stiff and sore. Bruising is one thing but this is very concerning!!

Donation was quick and there was little to no wait. The only thing I don’t like about this is that the Red Cross tends to harass you with a ton of calls if you’re eligible to donate again. I get it’s very much needed and it’s great when people donate, but it can be a bit much at times. Good location for donating though. Everyone was nice.

I’ve been a donor here for some time and I’ve never had a bad experience. The employees here are genuinely grateful for the donations, and make it a point to show that to the donors. They always have a smile and take care to connect with donors personally, rather than being super clinical during the visit. And each employee, from that receptionist to the phlebotomists, takes ownership and pride in a job well done.
