My second time donating blood was last weekend. While the first did not go great (due to troubles finding a vein in my left arm), the second time around using the right arm was fantastic. The staff were all incredibly friendly, especially the kind woman that worked with me directly throughout the donation process. She frequently asked me how I felt, and made sure I was as comfortable as possible during the donation. I will definitely be going again as soon as possible to donate more blood.

I’ve quit donating at Red Cross and started with Oklahoma Blood Institute. i usually donate platelets. Today i gave blood at a Red Cross dononation site, not having time to give platelets. I hoped i would feel differently and get back with Red Cross because it’s a wonderful organization but won’t do it. I’m going back to OBI. I have no idea what the problem is but as a donor i’ll give where i’m treated kindly.

American Red Cross used to be a great place to donate…. the management that controls it doesn’t know what they’re doing which makes the wonderful staff look bad. Oklahoma Blood Institute is the way to go!
