You will be here usually 2-4 hours just waiting. They have you make an appointment but literally that doesn’t matter. Some of the staff are VERY inexperienced.

In my experience the first day took 4 hours. Each visit has gotten better and faster. The staff is very nice and welcoming. I have noticed that new donors have been getting through the process faster. I appreciate how the staff makes sure your comfortable and ready to donate.

The employees at this BioLife plasma services are kind, helpful, and caring. They are also very efficient and move things along pretty quickly – even when they are busy. There are times when you have to wait (even when you had an appointment scheduled), but the wait is not usually very long. The building is very clean, and welcoming.

I get bruises after every donation now. The last 4 times in a row and not small bruises either. Not worth it. There are maybe 3 people that care and seem to be knowledgeable. If you don’t get one of them good luck. Also if they miss the vein and bruise up they’ve just told me “it happens”, you get deferred next time due to bruising and don’t even get a come back card. ✌️ I’ll keep my veins intact. They also never respond to inquiry or even bother calling back even when medically related.

The first time I came here, it took 4 hours. Generally they are fast but tonight I had to wait over 2 hours past my appointment time, they do not pay attention to who comes in first, very frustrating! Always short staff! Clean facilities though. You can never get in and out of here,2 hr min. They also denied me because I was 5 min late when my dog had a seizure and they never respond to your inquiries, I’ve sent 3.

I went in when it was super busy. The staff was super friendly and kept up pretty well with the influx of donors and new donors.

The wait was long but that was due to some issues that was not anyone’s fault the workers were nice and extremely skilled. It was my first with biolife and it took a little over 3.5 hours from start to finish. I barely felt the needle going in and love the fact they test blood right there. Facility was clean.

I thought by having appointments they would be a little quicker and less lines but I was wrong. I have sat waiting to be stuck for 50 minutes once and 30 minutes several times. At the place I donated at before I was usually in and out within an hour and I didn’t have to make an appointment. I am finishing up the new donor commitment and will never be back. I will be going back to the other place where it doesn’t take 2 hours for a regular donor.

I kept getting put in the wrong sections for my first time donation. Finally got to the physical. They said they can’t poke threw a tattoo and that someone should have done a vein check on me sooner. Well my veins weren’t “3 inches apart” so I’m not allowed to donate. Even though the staff said I had great veins. The staff is very nice and friendly, but the center needs work on the way they handle registration. I could’ve saved 2 hours of my time if someone would’ve checked my veins when I got there.

Very slow going. Showed up to my donation/physical. Went threw everything. At nurse I was told I had to wait till they got a paper back from my doctor for my sleep apnea. I understood and said OK. Few days later on a Tuesday my doctors office called to let me know they sent back the form completed. Wednesday I called Biolife and they verified they received it but the physician was only there Friday and Saturday to review items that I would get a call back. I didn’t so the next week I called and the nurse I spoke to said that they had not received the document, I said the last person I spoke to said they had. She said sorry but she will have to submit it again. Following Wednesday I stopped by my doctor office and asked them to send it again and to print me off a copy. I then went to Biolife and the front desk checked and said I was eligable to donate. I went threw the process again. Again at the nurse part I was told sorry it was a mistake I’m not eligible yet. She then verified they had received the document. I also gave the paper copy to be safe. She said I would hear back that Friday/Saturday. I did not. I called Tuesday, they said a nurse would call me back. I waited a week with no call back. Following Tuesday I called again and was told I’d get a call back. I did. I was told there was another issue and they had to get more info from my doctor. I would be understanding if they had updated me or called back back a week ago. So now a month after my initial visit, still waiting. I know my doctor office is getting stuff sent back quickly as they tell me when they send stuff. Maybe Biolife needs a Physician who is there more than a day or 2 a week. When I donated at Iowa City some years back they had everything taken care of within a week and it was all the same as this time. Only reason I am giving a 2 star is because the front desk people are super friendly and sound just as frustrated about all of this as me. I’ll update this later if I ever get to donate.
