Wasn’t told that a platelet donation takes 2 hrs. Ok. Agreed to go for it. Staff who signed me in gave me an earful about her 2nd amendment gun rights with all the dangerous, illegal immigrants running around and how she won’t be having the Covid vaccine since the government is obviously not telling us everything. Ok. Welcome to America. Then she shoved a tablet and headphones at me and stomped away when I asked for help with link. Best part was Jane slamming equipment around and glaring at me when I asked if I was almost done. Pouty Face Galore! Love helping out. Won’t be back to this locale.

I’m super squeamish and afraid of needles but the staff here have all been great and gone the extra mile to help me feel comfortable. This is my third convalescent plasma donation so that is a testament to their ability to help me relax. Today I even brought my husband with me to donate together as a date. They are part of a national company so sometimes it takes a while to get a call back but the people here are great.

Depending who you are this is great place to donate. They serve a good purpose. Just be careful what you tell them about your medical or prescriptions situations because they Will violate your HIPAA rights and humiliate if front staff and donors.

I work 6 days a week, my wife works as well. I get a day off to go in to donate with my appointment. Well because my breakfast was not super big they would not draw my O negative blood and turned me away for my appointment at 730am, we went back and fourth saying thats my normal breakfast and I donated before with it, well the nurse said its not OK. Wasted 2 hrs of my morning, waking up, getting ready, and commuting to donate. Well she sent me away. I will never be going back after that. And will find a different company that needs my blood.

I’ve been donating blood with my family since I was 16 and have always loved being able to do so, but recently found out I have become anaemic because Vitalant rejected my blood weeks after I donated while at the University (UNR) . I passed out in the chair because of it and I am confused as to how they didnt catch that I was anaemic BEFORE I dontated and passed out. Every other time I’ve donated they have checked my hemoglobin levels prior to taking my blood to ensure it was safe for me to do so

Haven’t been into the donation center yet. I tried to call them today to get some information and they have yet to answer my call. I have called them about four or five times and they have not answered any of them. You pride yourself on being clean and having a good facility, but you can’t answer the phone for the people that have yet to go in there. How can you have one good service and not have another? I will not use your guys’s service if you guys cannot answer the phone as well as be able to provide good service in the office.
