I go in to donate as often as my iron allows! The staff are really sweet, and make sure I don’t freeze when I give plasma or platelets! Other than your arm getting a little colder, giving plasma or platelets is the same feeling as donating blood – it just takes a bit longer to do. I love the heating pad and that the bag I squeeze can be warmed too! Love to everyone there, I will see you soon.

Ive been coming to Carter mostly out of convenience since its right next to my house. After my next scheduled donation I will never come here again. The sheer lack of professionalism and untrained staff is astounding. The first time I donated here I had vein thrombosis immediately after donating, and had to go to the emergency room. The second time everything went smooth and I was very lucky and that was thanks to Andrew, who is the only person you can trust to do a good job there. The third time I came back I told them about my previous experiences, and they said they’d have their top supervisor take my blood. The top supervisor missed the vein, wiggled the massive needle around in my arm for a good 30 seconds, and them taped it down whilst not in my arm to take a rest. I had to leave because they had no one else to take my blood, except the lady who gave me the vein thrombosis! I came back about 15 minutes later because I was desperate and really needed to get my blood drawn as I am a HRT patient and need to do so on a timely scheduled manner. They said they couldn’t do it even though they didn’t collect a single drop of blood from me. Please, for everyones safety, go elsewhere.

I’ve donated here for at least 5yrs and this is my preferred location. I always make an appt and most of the time they call me up within 5-10. It’s never swamped full of people…they stay pretty organized and they are all so nice and welcoming.

This place is great! Staff is really caring, awesome and funny. Tammy did awesome! I have never had a bad staff member. I must say though I do feel bad due to the first time in 10 years of donating that I got dizzy and they had to cool me down. Sorry y’all. I promise I’ll eat more before my next donation!! Great staff. Quick and efficient. I have a great fear of needles and they are very comforting. I’m a stay-at-home dad and I have to bring my 3 year old daughter and they are very nice and friendly to her. She likes going there because they put cartoons on the TV for her. Awesome people…AWESOME people!!!!

The woman who greeted me, weighed me, and pricked my finger was so sweet and funny and really put me at ease, as I have pretty severe social anxiety. She was super helpful and friendly, something I appreciate a lot. I couldn’t donate blood as I had low iron, so I cannot rate the experience, but I wanted her to be recognized. I wish I remembered her name.. 🙁

I always enjoy my time when I go and donate. Friendly staff and always great to see the same faces! Experienced staff. Drink plenty of water the day that you donate, so your veins do not collapse on them.
