I’ve been donating here for about a year now and most of my donations are incredibly easy, smooth sailing. The donations that don’t go so well are usually due to my deeper veins and size. The staff is amazing and friendly, knowledgeable and good at what they do. When I have been deferred, and it’s my only complaint, it’s due to the policy about the hematocrit – the part that checks for iron and protein levels in the blood. Frequently I’m considered on the border anemic, about 38 or 39, but I have discovered that it’s technically not true. For men, a healthy amount of iron in the blood is 38 to 48%, but for women it’s more typically 35 to 44%. I actually begin to feel bad the higher I go. I assume it’s to make it easier for the technicians in the front or perhaps they’ve actually had more women fainting when they’re lower than 38. It’s just frustrating to be denied when I’m considered healthy by any other medical facility yet get sent away with a slip about anemia and told to eat more meat and spinach. Even more annoying when it’s my idea to donate and otherwise would be a waste of gas for a long trip.

The process of booking an appointment and getting through was great. However, when I booked my appointment it showed I would get paid over 60 dollars for my donation I got paid half that. When brought to the attention of the manager Sara of the local center she proceeded to text chat support at 1246pm it is now 5pm and I still have no resolution. The chat representative assured me this would be taken care of today and promptly stopped responding at 230pm. I am now stuck in a chat thread with no assistance or response. There is no phone number to call and the local center apparently has Nothing to do with payments. So if they screw up too bad. I have spent my entire day off dealing with this. Unacceptable.

The staff here are awesome from AA Ron and Daniel to Hailey and Candice. All around great staff. I joke and play with them just as if I worked there. Sometimes I do have to say Welcome to Parachute myself but that just let’s the ones in the back know I have arrived. The place is clean and the wait is fast. I’ve donated twice a week every week for the last 7 years. I’ve sat in clinics for 3/4 hours just waiting to get stuck. This place in in and out within an hour most days. I’ve donated almost 60 times since October of last year and made over $3,000 So well worth it.

The staff most of the staff are amazing. It would be nice if they could find a new physician though it seems she doesn’t like her job and never smiles. She has been rude to me a few times and now that i am almost level 5 the defer me due to having reactions to iodine like I can help it.i feel for anyone that has to deal with their physician.

Staff is friendly, inviting and professional. From the time I walk in, to the time I leave the staff treats you like family. I have been there 4 times and had the same phlebotomist, and he has been great. I was nervous my first time about the needle stick, because of the size of the needle, but the phlebotomist is so professional and accurate that I had worried for nothing. It was a great experience all around and I encourage everyone to give it a try. It ultimately goes to help the people who need it most.

I filled out paper of medications and I read the paper wrong and I thought it said medicines in the last 60 days well since I wrote a medicine in the paper he said I couldn’t fix it or change it!! I felt like this was a joke and I was done absolutely wrong! If I told you it was an old medicine take my word and let me fix it!! Don’t go here if you might make a mistake they will just turn you around!!!!!! I would give them ZERO stars if possible! I really needed the money and was stressed out completely read the medication paper wrong!!!!!!
