Generally an ok experience, but I showed up to my appointment yesterday to find a sign on the door saying they are closed until further notice. There was no attempt made to inform me of this cancelation despite them having my email and phone number on file. This is a problem because I live an hour away. I rescheduled for the next day and no answer and no voicmail message informing people of the situation. They were also taking more appointments so they are apparently going to continue wasting other people’s time as well. They routinely do not answer phone calls or respond to voicemails as i have discovered in the past.

Great facility to save lives no doubt, but the wait time is excessive. It is 1 hour and 30mins of waiting for my physical portion of my donation and waiting!!!! unreasonable

I go there twice a week. The receptionist M is amazing and sweet and always helps me book appointments when I need help. Only bad thing is they’re so busy and understaffed so sometimes I wait so long in a bed, especially after I’m done donating, it takes them anywhere from 5-25 minutes!

Staff are incredibly kind, efficient, and caring. I have yet to meet anyone who doesn’t go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and feel welcomed. Cathy in particular is so friendly and always makes my day brighter. I’m also thoroughly impressed with the professional and clean environment, and I always leave feeling better for having done what I can to help others.

Very friendly staff and it’s a clean facility. Rated three stars because of wait times. If I make the only available appointment a week in advance, I don’t want to wait two hours just to start donating. I really think Ames BioLife needs more staff to keep up with the large amount of students.

I’ve been donating for a little over a year. While sometimes the wait times can be a little long, I know it’s not the staff’s fault. They are all doing their best and they all have a wonderful attitude. Having been coming for a while, they recognize me and ask me about my life. Sidney is always a breath of fresh air, no matter how early it is, and I always trust Kathy to make sure my donation goes smoothly. They all go above and beyond!
