I’ve donated a lot of things to Goodwill over the years. Today, I was in my car for not even 1 minute after dropping some items off when the employee handling the donations rushed me out of my parking spot. They told me to “hurry up” as I was trying to start my car. This isn’t how you treat someone after they have generously donated items to this facility.

Last Saturday afternoon, on July 9th, I visited the Goodwill store in search of a bookshelf. To my surprise, they charged an audacious $64 for a used bookshelf that didn’t even have a price tag. My friend and I had to carry it by ourselves to the cashier, only to be informed of this exorbitant price. When I inquired about the high price, the person behind the counter said that was the price and didn’t show any willingness to reconsider.

The quality here has really gone up! I will say that it’s harder to find good items these days (but I blame rising prices), but you’ll still find some good stuff every so often. The staff is also a good mix right now! Used to have a few unsavory characters but it’s gotten really better recently and I Love checking this place out when I get the chance.

The goodwill is supposed to be the goodwill. But yet even if you needed the product and it happens it doesn’t have a barcode or price tag, the staff or manager as what she claims she’s the manager….hello.. as far as I know .. goodwill is non profit for the people who need them. I needed that sunscreen lotion for my sensitive skin because of the weather to prevent skin cancer and I badly needed it. And this ” manager” made my life miserable for few days and that goal of goodwill didn’t really apply to me .. I’m not stealing the sunscreen lotion . It doesn’t have a barcode and so they can’t sell it or give it.. and I begged if they can do something about it. I went to goodwill thinking I could afford things I need in my life. I told the manager why they are goodwill but just shrugged her shoulders and ignored me.

Terrible CUSTOMER Service I went shopping at their location IN MILPITAS and the guy that was working at the register closing told me that I could return or exchange any of the items that I purchased. Then when I went back to return. The big lady with a dark completion and curly hair was very rude. She told me I was lying about the younger gentleman telling me I could return. She said I dont think so. Then followed me around the store and collected my bag that I was trying to return. She basically called me a lier and a thief. She wouldn’t let me buy a couple of items. She said she couldn’t sell them to me. She is not helping your store make money for the needy with her trying to bully people. Need more customer service orientated people to bring customers. Usually if the person is accusing its because they are guilty and think other people would that way.
