After “vitals”, while waiting in line to get “stuck”, I counted 5 empty beds and none of them were “set up”, or whatever you call it when you load the bottle and tubing. You were a bit understaffed this day at this time. Anyway, I asked one of the ladies, who was busting her a**, if any of the managers ever come out of the office or the backroom to assist when they are backed up and have 5 empty beds that need to be occupied. This hardworking lady stated the she is a manager to which I replied; Wow, well thank you for all that you do…she was moving everywhere, doing everything, outworking everyone on the floor however, she also stated that she is an assistant manger and she is supposed to be on the floor a certain percent of the time. So, what I am saying is that she was working the floor because is was where she was scheduled to be working that day…NOT because the facility was backed up or understaffed. Which brings me back to my original point.

My first time looking to start donating was a long drawn out process exceeding 3 hours. Sine then the management and staff have hired more workers and wait times are much better. It all depends on the time of day of course. Every member of the staff I have interacted with is friendly and attentive to you health and safety as well as getting you in and out. I have now donated for 6+ months, twice a week and have recommended Biolife to multiple people who thank me for introducing this company. Keep up the good work

Awful place. It was a nightmare. I wish I can give it zero stars. I went in last Friday later in the day for my 1st my appointment was at 12:30 for donation and physical. Beginning of the process everything went smoothly, then I got to the point where they check my veins. The manager checked them and said “oh no, not this one” like I’m something disposable. Then another kind nurse came and checked and said “absolutely, both arms are good. “

I was in and out for my first donation! The experience was comfortable, easy, and educational. Nurse Mateaka did a great job a assuring me of what I was signing up for and the possible side effects. Thank you for the snack! My lead tech Brittney was so professional and checked in on me to make sure I would make it home after my 15 minute grace period after my donation.

Train your workers better. I received a 56 day deferment because 2 of your workers do not know how to find veins. I also received numerous hematomas from other workers at the Livonia Michigan location. One of the only people who knows what he is doing there is leaving. Wonder why?

Kind of infuriating when I see someone that was in line behind me finish their donation process and leave as I’m finally getting poked. All because they don’t know where my label is? This has happened to me twice. I did not start donating till 1.5 hours after my appointment time, but the staff is usually friendly and the money is good if you time your promotions right, so I guess it’s worth it for me? Definitely don’t come here if you have something scheduled afterward, you’ll be late!

My first time donating plasma and I was here for 4 hours. It said online it could take 2 hours the first time, which I did not think that was all that bad. But 4 hours is completely crazy. The employees were super nice which is why I’m giving this place 3 stars, but they either need more employees or not to allow so many appointments. My appointment was at 5:10. I didn’t get hooked up to a machine until after 7:30.

They have an appointment system that is absolutely useless. You stand in line for over an hour, sometimes two just to get on a bed. Other than that they are mostly kind and do a very good job at taking care of your needs but something needs to be done about the appointment system.
