I am literally here now wasted my gas because as usual I listened to one employee that my physical is ok and I ask are you sure because it’s expired and I scheduled my appointment. “ no , you have a few more weeks, and it will work” I come and everyones confused as always (not slightest to the first time) the lack of training and intelligence is concerning. Especially the lack of quality leadership, you can see man employees attempting to do their best with the resources given. Still not appropriate for a medical setting. Seems nicer then it actually turns out to be. Ohh they’ll bruise you up do to a lack of quality staff that understands phlebotomy, and they’ll gaslight you as they are deferring you for allowing someone that doesn’t have skill stick you and your friends (several encounters shared between us who donate here on how unprofessional or even how we’ve been hurt by and deferred because oops. Ohh and they wear the name tags backwards to not showcase their names ( I’ve seen this more with the new staff they bring in rather than the more seasoned people) seems like it might help with concerns or complaints. No sense of creating stable center where peoples blood pressure are not being raised by having all doors opened and having the line run all outside, almost as a sense of punishment with the employees freely speak about slowing down from people wanting to come in during the last hours of operation. I’m not an expert in air conditioning of course but I don’t believe leaving all doors open to the point people are pointing and saying that’s why it’s getting hot or the lady in front of me seemed very phased by heat. I enjoy the heat and Sun. I just see the effects it actually can have on other individuals not accustomed to that environment and understanding many of us are attempting to make the most of being clearly extorted and just doing what we can . But I drove here and I’ve been wanting to review well for about a few months to truly understand how it is to donate here. Many of us donate because well it’s America 2023 and we wanna survive but it’s telling of the companies truly capitalizing off our need .

I have been coming to this location for three months and have not had a bad experience yet. The staff is always nice and polite. The facility to include bathrooms are always clean. Lastly, they are great about sanitizing the equipment after every use. Definitely recommend coming out

I’m so glad they started requiring appointments. It’s so much more organized now & easier to get in and out. I always have a good experience here and most of the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Horrible experience. My first donation was 9/1/2023, since that date, BioLife allowed me to donated one other time. I go up there for my first donation of the week… all is good. I go back for the second visit and it was always a reason why I couldn’t donate. They have a promotion for $900 in your first 30 days and they found every excuse for me not to donate. I’m assuming they don’t want to pay the $900 just get new donors in. I stopped going. Rather go somewhere me and my plasma is appreciated.

It’s always nice a clean, except the bathrooms, they are forever in need of being cleaned. My suggestion is to put a mat under the hand dryer so the floor will stay dry, but regular checks would also help. Comfortable atmosphere. The techs are good, and I love that they are doing appointments now.

It sure is nice coming to the Universal City location, where they are always fully staffed so no matter how long the lines are, they move you through quickly.

I’m very satisfied with the whole process and people. Only thing that can be improved, in my opinion, is to please ask the staff not to gossip about others there at work right in front of customers lol. They’re sometimes young and not professional. Most of them are very!

Great, clean place to donate. I’d give more stars but after being a donor for almost a year I made it a point to notice how often Crystal up front has to do retakes for heart rate since I am ALWAYS high with her even after checking my heart rate before coming in and immediately after leaving. 75-90 is where I’m always at with every other nurse and with her it’s never under 100. Maybe she needs to be retrained on how to put a cuff on to check blood pressure and heart rate since every 3rd person or less she does has to do retakes. (Watched several times when there was a bed wait). I even told her the cuff felt a bit tight and she just stated it has to be.

I’ve been mostly pleased with my experience donating at Biolife Plasma. Everyone is very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. On occassion they are light on staff and the wait can be pretty long, but most of the time they have enough people and the process goes quickly.
