Donated at the pop up shop in Charlotte June 18. They said I would be able to receive the e-gift card in 30 minutes. The portal says my donation number does exist. That’s bad business! Not only did this happen to me. Someone else donated Friday and still hasn’t received anything

I have been coming here to donate for a couple of years, no issues. All of the sudden, today, the nurse told me they could not take my blood because I have been outside of the country within the last 3 years. She said that “everyone else was doing it wrong” right after saying “I’m right out of training so I do it by the book”.

I have been coming here for the last few years and I have never had a problem. The staff is always nice and welcoming, the inside area clean and tidy, and the drinks and snacks are stocked well. Free WiFi! Free Netflix and cable while you donate. What’s not to like.

The Blood Connection Spartanburg location has the best staff. They make it so enjoyable to donate. I am always recommending them to friends and family. The facility is always spotless. I particularly enjoyed this years Halloween decorations. They made me laugh! Good job, folks!

Went to donated and was asked if I wanted to give double blood cells since I’m O- so I said sure after I donate blood I order 2 e-gift cards from the place and never received them valued at 75$ so I called them and they asked for my name and number and said someone will contact me I’ve called 6 times no answer and never again

Today, we’re faced with so many unpleasant situations in the news, and things are happening everyday to distract us from what really matters in life. Helping one another, giving our time, sharing precious moments with loved ones and friends, and most importantly giving blood to the blood connection is what really matters. I look forward to when my eligibility rolls around so that I can give blood to help someone else. Also, the staff at the blood connection make every minute I’m donating enjoyable, with their kind and caring dispositions.

For the most part a staff were very professional, the building was clean and welcoming. The professional who helped me was named Jenifer and she did an amazing job even though she was unable to get a full bag. However, when assistance was asked for do to the lack of blood flow a professional by the name of Lisa came to help. She was not wearing gloves! I even asked why and was told her hands were “clean” she touched the bag, the tubes, the machine, then she touched the place where the needle went into my arm. I kept asking about gloves and was treated rudely, then when I asked about my blood she said it was my fault they couldn’t get blood. I have never been treated so rudely! I am genuinely concerned about my health as well, she touched so many things before touching the hole in my arm with the needle in it. Please do something about this employee, please protect the patient and the workers

First few times I donated were great! However… I went with a friend and they were rude and wouldn’t take her blood because the city that she went to in Honduras was not on their printed out map. She pointed to the place where she flew in and told them it was very close to that city. That city was in the green, but they still refused to take her blood, deferring her for 3 years. I made an appointment and got there 15 minutes early only for them to tell me they were leaving early and drove off as I was standing there. The manager was willing to send a gift card to me and I told her that wasn’t the point, but she assured me she would send one anyway. Never received anything. Went to another drive today and my pulse was high, so I sat a few minutes and they took it while I knew it was still high just so they could turn me away. They didn’t offer me anything for trying. They must not be hurting for blood that badly. I’d rather give to a place that cares. I will be finding another donation center ASAP. I would NOT recommend the Blood Connection to anyone. It’s not worth wasting time and the employees not caring.
